I know BB-9E and Phasma don’t even have a combined screen time of like 5 minutes, yet they’re still one of my favorite sequel characters. I like BB-9E’s vibes and Phasma is just kinda badass to me. Sad they were both wasted as characters. Honestly a series that just shows the inner workings of the day to day life of people like Phasma or even a storm trooper in the first order would be so sick, same for the Imperials just cause we never really see that much in mainstream media despite the fact they’re controlling multiple systems and have to maintain ‘order’.

Sad fact about a BB model droid is that it's meant to be friendly. Reason why BB-9E like like this because it was never raised with a friendly care like Poe with BB-8. It is even said to have "regular memory wipe" even. Ngl, I would love to have a personal BB-9E.

@@NoName-yf8qo tbh support characters in similarity to bb8 and bb9e can only be as good as their team, since their low health pools prevent more aggressive play, at best with a team that your forced to follow, you can be passive aggressive, bad teams pretty much just have you sidelined if your a b unit

Not really. You can be very effective if you focus on keeping sabers off of your blaster heroes (which is what I usually do) and if you shock a dueling enemy as BB9E or just spin2win beside or behind your teammate as BB8 if you think the enemy like a Maul will dash through them, it provides a very good deterrent. Also the BB units are the funniest to ledge people with.

This scene of verizon could have changed the film completely. For me, it would have been far better to have the Resistance running through several light speed jumps. And the BB8 somehow hacked into Snoke's ship with Finn and poe to disable the tracker. that the movie could have a big change and it would be cool for BB 8 to turn off the tracker and BB9E chasing it and they have a battle

Gameplay variety I'd assume is a big one. Droids have also always been crucial to Star Wars, both as marketing potential and in-universe characters. I don't think a single Star Wars fan can deny how integral R2-D2 is to the plot of this franchise, and you don't even have to have watched Star Wars to immediately recognize him. I don't think it's unwarranted for an astromech to be playable. They're entirely unique in playstyle and design, as opposed to the 50th Jedi/Sith with lightsabers and the Force. My only criticism is that they didn't make R2 playable, but BB-8 lends himself much better to navigating terrain so I can't blame them for choosing him. BB-9E was simply added because it was a super easy Dark Side equivalent.
