You know - this mod looks like it could be the best thing to happen to Star Wars since the old school DOS X-Wing and TIE Fighter games :)

They been working on a mod called "Fate of the Galaxy" but it seems like forever. Not sure if it ever coming. It's not a perfect mod but its something to play around with. It actually can look a little better. When I recorded this I didnt have all the effects on and the time.

Everything set (original Freespace 2 through Steam, FSO 3.8, SW Mod installed on FS2 root folder, mediavps installed through Knossos), SW mod checked on wxLauncher, nothing happens.

It's been a while but where the file is located I think you gotta copy all the game files out of the stream folder into like c:games freespace. I actually forgot what the folder is located. Should be in a how to somewhere if you search. But you gotta have it in the original file setup location and not where steam had the folder.

@@NostalgicTribe Ty for the reply. Mod didn't seem to work with FSO 3.8, so I downgraded to 3.7 and it worked.

How'd you get the mod to work properly without crashing

Well my problem is I mixed everything up with doom mods I had in same folder. If you download from Steam you have to transfer it to I think c:games/freespace2 folder. There is directions online if you search it. I'm at work when I get home I'll try to send some links.

Oh it's a pain to get working. First you got to have Freespace 2. Which is one of the best games of all time. Which you can get on steam but it won't work unless you know how to mess with it to work on a newer system. Then it real complex setting up the mods, software and you got to move the different game files to "trick" Steam App... I had so many errors. But this game was for like 20 years ago really. Freespace 2 is still amazing tho. Best played with a joystick. Literally every key on the keyboard has a ship function plus hit shift and everything is something else. It still holds up just gotta spend a day figuring out how to get it to run on a new setup. They got tons of mods tho. Some I couldn't get working. They had Babylon 5 mod , Star War, Battlestar Galactica, and an anime style one. Then they updated graphics. But its really frustrating to get working. I ran this at the minimum. I just thought it was cool. Wish it was easier to setup

I've downloaded the mod but it is not working for me It just loads up the normal free space
