Among other things, Star Wars is a story about human versus machine!

On the Obi-Wan series, when Darth Vader tells Obi-Wan, tears in his eyes : “I am not your failure, Obi-Wan. You didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker; I did!” -I see a profound natural, spontaneous purely selfless -undifferentiated compassion towards his former mentor and brother; as if freeing Kenobi of any guilt. Thanks professor 🙏🏼

Aesop's tales teach, but only if one experieces on one's own skin what they say. So do Voltaire's Candide, Pinocchio, or Alice in Wonderland, among others, if one can read behind the fairy tale narrative which the vast number of people don't. Teaching without analytical thinking or retaining is totally useless. As I said, nobody became one bit any wiser after watching Stars Wars. On the contrary, like the addiction to video games, they wanted more similar mindless entertainment.

People can interpret things as they like, but my interpretation of Star Wars is that it' s just a huge blockbuster to make money. Nobody came out any wiser and thoughtful after watching Star war. Just like nobody became any wiser after reading Harry Potter. Most populist culture is nothing else than bread and circuses.

I'm not sure about that. I'd argue that Star Wars is a kind of fairy tale. And fairy tales teach. They might not have the tragic wisdom of mythology, but they do clarify and provide some guidance in an otherwise messy world.
