It’s been a bit of a nightmare. I have friends who simply can not find anything in store. But definitely keep checking the online app since it has shown up briefly for purchase, which I strongly believe may result in the second production being available for online purchases. 🤞😎🤞

I was lucky enough to get a bunch of the Empire Xwing (Dagobah ). But, since Hasbro announced 212 Walgreens and Walmart shock trooper, I cancelled all my preorders and decided to drop the line as I don’t want to play the Exclusives game, congrats, sucks for the people that really wanted this

I agree that exclusives can be frustrating, but they are absolutely crucial for the health of the line. It’s the retailer’s willingness to fund the product, which is essential to getting more product announcements in a year. They’re essentially extras that we wouldn’t receive otherwise. With that being said exclusives could be handled much better, specifically their availability and accessibility. Collectors shouldn’t have to struggle finding these figures and product. So I absolutely understand the difficulties but as a community we have to let Hasbro know that there needs to be better handling of these exclusives. More availability and more product for purchase 🙂

I actually just finally managed to get one this past Weekend. I'm just so happy to finally have one. We'll never get the rest of the squad, but at least we got Blue Leader. Speaking of which, they need to re-release a modern Red Leader. The Scramble on Yavin battle pack prices are beyond ridiculous! Even the loose figures. Now that you mention it, I would like a General Dravin & the Black X-Wing squadron that bombed Jyn's dad.

On the box art, that’s the C1-10P “Chopper” from the Hasbro Rebels Saga Legends line (SL06) from 2014. The Disney Parks Droid Factory/Droid Depot “Chopper” is far superior. One of the Disney Parks Droid Depot Droid Factory color change set 4-packs has Antoc’s properly colored droid, red body with blue markings and an Artoo colored head. Oh, and the set comes with a great “Chopper!” The color change gimmick is color stable, so you can have a proper orange Chopper or one in Imperial disguise which is a nice bonus.

Yes it is definitely better and I hope the TVC release will be that mold or better! I have seen others suggest using that Disney Park droid as Antocs Astromech, and I highly considered picking up the set, especially for the chopper! Somehow I never got around to picking it up, but now that I have this X-wing I might have to get on it! 😎🙌

If the X-Wing was for 6" figure I'd bite. But at 3.75" its just not my cup of tea. Awesome grab tho. Yeah, Target is sloppy when they don't allow online purchase for exclusives. And Hasbro Target are incompetent when they don't announce releases of such exclusives before they secretly hit shelves. Such was case with TFR BWBB Cliffjumper who I only got lucky to grab.

That would be an amazing surprise, but Hasbro has noted that they do not plan to release Merrick separately 🥲 I could only see it maybe happening years down the road, and that’s a big maybe.

I hope so too! I was able to politely ask an employee to scan a picture of the box barcode and check the back stock. Hopefully Target and Hasbro can keep the shelves stocked with a good number of these, so far it seems like it’s only been 4 units per store.

If Target can't get their act together and stop sucking, then Hasbro should find another way to get these out to the public. Target has botched every Star Wars exclusive to date! ;p(

Which is great to see and promising for the line! Although I totally agree, and it’s a bit odd that there hasn’t been any clear communication if this item will even become available for online purchase anytime soon. It’s stressful, time consuming, and not everyone may have the means to travel to multiple stores looking for these vehicles. There needs to be a better solution, and hopefully this changes in the coming weeks 🤞🙂

It’s a great first X wing to have and it’s always better to find one now, rather than pay the secondary market price 😎 I just noticed the helmet is the same as the Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot but Merrick’s head sculpt/hair is smaller than Luke’s. Therefore it doesn’t fit as well, but like I said in the video, nothing a little Elmers Tak won’t fix!

Target trips can be pretty demoralizing, but there has been more and more product recently. Hopefully this trend continues and in store shopping becomes a pleasant experience 😎 Yeah I would remain patient and not give into those who are hustling product for profit. I have a feeling these will be re stocked a few times and very possibly go up for online purchase, perhaps by the end of this Target Fall Geek Out. 🤞

If I start collecting Star Wars action figures and vehicles should I go with the TVC or the TBS and why?

Both scales have their strengths but I’m absolutely a fan of 3.75” figures, the vintage collection and fully support collecting it! It’s what I grew up with and I think it’s a very exciting scale to collect 😎 TVC allows us to have carded collections, army build, create intricate dioramas, and display small to large vehicles with figures, making it such a fun scale to collect. Because TVC is inherently smaller than BS you can have more figures and more display options using less space in your home. Also if you are considering collecting vehicles TVC and the older Star Wars releases have a lot more to offer in terms of quantity and variety. Which might be perfect since you are interested in collecting vehicles! Lastly the recent TVC figure releases have been some of the best work Hasbro has ever produced, and are equally capable of achieving many poses that a BS figure can offer. I’ve really enjoyed the atmosphere in the TVC community recently and enjoy seeing it grow. And I might add the new Haslab Razor Crest from the Mandalorian is made for the 3.75 inch scaled figures. That's why I prefer 3.75 inch, a lot of opportunities for world building and have you seen the new Rogue One stormtrooper in 3.75? That will make you want to collect this scale.

Thank you! I appreciate it! It was found in the California Bay Area, but I have seen reports on the east coast: Boston and Georgia so far. There were reports that the stock of these X-Wings has already been here for a little while, so I think they have had time to get distributed all over. Hopefully more will show up in time!

I agree, the X wings are a little flimsy. The wings don’t bother me as much as the cannons, I wish they snapped into place a bit more securely. There are improvements on the newer Poe Dameron X wing. The big tie has its spring issue but I’ve been able to solve that 😎 I want to see a tie defender in the future!

Why can't Hasbro get away from that damn rubbery plastic. I hate these X-Wings with those saggy wings. Absolutely needs a much more rigid plastic for the wings. Great review though!

It would be nice if that wings were a bit more sturdy as the POTF2 X-Wing for example. Those older releases seemed a bit more durable ✨

The ball-jointed hip design is terrible on most TVC figures. Too much fiddling to do in order to get these figures to sit in a vehicle. The designers need to head down the hall to the GI Joe designers and take a few notes.

It’s not the easiest but I don’t think it’s bad whatsoever. I’ll admit it takes me a little effort to get some of the poses I want, but as I got more familiar with holding the thigh swivel in place I usually have no issues 😎 I do agree that 375 GI Joe figures have always had excellent articulation that’s pretty easy to engage.
