I think the rule that let's you heal 5 HP if you're the one to take out a player is the key here. Sure, you could gang up on a player to get him right down. But then you're risking your opponent being the one that gets the 5 HP, so you are very careful lowering someone's HP. Genius.

Yes it’s clever. Helps lower instances of “king making”… Less likely for players to aid another in order to have one take out the opposition for them.

I’ve played both mtg and unlimited. Gotta say mtg was fun but having a game where you have a ton of cards and no resources made mtg so frustrating to play. Being able to always have the resources every turn makes unlimited way more enjoyable for me.

I played unlimited at a demo day, and will be playing this weekend, and I’m so excited! The fast pace makes this really fun to play, and the deck building is way easier when you don’t have to commit a percentage of your deck to energy/land

I live in a smaller area and do not see others buying into this game, I was wondering will this ever go digital? I might try it out then but buying real cards would be a waste of money for me because noone around this area would be playing it.

In this game, you put damage on cards. You cannot have negative damage.

Long time Star Wars fan, long time Commander fan here. There are some really cool things here, but I have some concerns. To me, if someone plays a special 25 health base, why wouldn’t everyone just focus him down? I know that won’t necessarily mean you’ll win since you need the highest health. I’m just not sure… maybe it’s genius. I’d love to give it a shot.

Please don’t go to the single card format…. It’s just a cash grab and you already make pre-built decks that have multiples. If I play twin sun I need to completely change my decks and if I go back to 2v2 I have to change my decks again.

I think it has to do a bit with you getting access to more aspects due to the two leaders. But of course you can give it a whirl with dualton decks.

If you and your friends hate it, you can houserule it out. Singleton decks have much less consistency, so the expectation is likely that every game will be different.

@@matiasnl Any form of organized play will still use the standardized Singleton ruleset, which seems like is gonna be my only way to do multiplayer. I'm only going in on this game with one other friend as our reintroduction to tcgs

@@jeconiahhoffman4892 Did you think that by Multiplayer they meant *all* formats? This is the Multiplayer format, as in 3-4 players. This is the only singleton format. It sounds like you think standard and draft will be singleton, which is just not the case.
