Not properly assessing my role is the number two reason I run into trouble in my matches (with number one simply playing someone who is a better player…). I have started making a point of regularly asking myself, “what is my role here?” at the start of each game and at various key points. When playing casually, I always ask my opponent what they think our roles are so we can compare notes and discuss. Great video, Matty!
