Sort of going off the idea of knowing what knowing the game will start, learning to adapt your game plan when what is happening does line up with theory. Maybe you drew different cards then you wanted, maybe your opponent is slow playing their cards, etc.

Play with friends watching you. It puts a different kind of pressure from you and if you are trying to win in tournaments then it’s a kind of pressure you need to get used to.

Check out This Tender Land, William Kent Krueger. Great read on a quest for home (literal and metaphorical), purpose, and meaning, set largely on the Mississippi River during the Depression. Hints of magical realism, too. Had me openly weeping on a plane when i finished it recently lol. Also, you got my sub, Matty! Thanks for the excellent and calming content. Keep up the good work here and on the main channel. ❤️

Very solid advice, love your style and the relaxing voice. Myself coming from YGO to SWU, what are your thoughts on SWU as a card game in comparison to others, I know you dabble in Pokemon. Book rec would be the Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami

Thank you for the feedback! I think SWU is a great game. I love the action to action turns that keep you engaged. I am hopeful that as new sets come out things get a little bit more robust. As someone who loved playing combo decks in Magic: The Gathering, I am hopeful that we will see new playstyles in SWU.

matty i need two things: 1) more volume onm your recording. got you maxed and still quiet. 2) mustache shape tier list

@@nedlavelle mustache tier list sounds dope! I apologize for the sound I recorded this weeks ago before I fixed my sound. Headphones help a lot on my end. One more low video likely incoming before all is fixed. Thanks for the feedback

Seriously though, great vid - so many players neglect this stuff. I would add that a lot of people get loads of reps on sites like Karabast, and while that does give useful information, it can really mess with forming those good habits around triggers and maintaining a clear board state in real-life games.
