The face's marks on the stop motion animation characters are because they are based on the Selk'nam, indigenous people of chilean Patagonia, who used to paint their bodies in mesmerizing patterns to represent spirits. The authors just said they wanted to use the Star Wars universe to depict the story of colonization of south america. I can't wait to watch it! Greetings from Chile!

Yeah. I tried watching the first season , and even though there are some anime series and movies I like, I did not like that all the episodes were anime-like, and some of the anime-type writing/tropes meshed with star wars made me cringe, so I could not finish it. This season 2 looks more interesting, much more varied, and I particularly like what I'm seeing from the first one shown in the trailer.

This time around they decided to use world-wide studios. Only one of those is a Japanese anime studio (Dart Shtajio). According to the website, the rest of them are from Spain, Ireland, Chile, UK, South Korea, France, India, and South Africa. The Dart animation collaborated directly with Lucasfilm for theirs. I am a MASSIVE Japanese anime fan, and while I would love another season of all anime, 1. I understand it isn't everyone's thing, and 2. I LOVE that they are essentially turning the Visions IP into an opportunity to let non-Disney, yet otherwise major and will known studios, make what may as well be high production fan fiction. It means there is a lot of love put into it.
@anthonyyoutubefan7567 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I see the love these non-Disney studios have for George Lucas' universe. I also appreciate the strong lack of "agenda" in their storytelling. All win-wins. Watching these vignettes is going to be like experiencing a Star Wars fever dream.

As always, Master Katarn, your reactions are something special. This looks even more expansive and diverse than Season 1. Yes, I got serious Malgus vibes from that first Sith. I actually consider some of this material as more canon than a portion of what Disney is actually presenting as canon, since 2012. I've included 4 or 5 of the tales and characters from Season 1 as part of my official head canon...I'm sure the same will happen for Season 2. Between this and Young Jedi Adventures, We're going to be getting Our Animation fix from both sides. Kyle, have you heard that Return Of The Jedi will be being re-released in theaters on April 28th? I'm ecstatic with that news. I would LOVE IT, if We got to see one or two of Season 2's Visions vignettes before the main attraction of the 1983 remastered film. I'd also ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, if theaters offered a double feature, showing a few of the best chapters from The Mandoverse, that connect to ROTJ. May The Force Be With You, Good Sir.

What they should to is ret-con the sequel trilogy and have it turn out that Rey was having visions/meditating on a possible future. Then you keep the stuff that works and scrap what didn't, incorporate more content from legends, and prevent people wanting to throw away all the merch and stuff they already purchased. Then I would do it anime CGI style; that way you have the intellectual property to use the characters without needing the actual actors to reprise their roles.
