While I love both. Joe's argument about BTTF3 actually (to me at least) opens up for a redemption of the film. As he said the first was to save his parents/siblings the second was to save his kids, and the third was to save himself. As Marty learned that just cause someone challenges you to do something you don't need to accept to be a man.

As a Mexican immigrant of a young age I belive that I was about 10 when I saw the first back to the future and when at the end the -to be continued- came on the screen from our rented VCR I had no clue what that meant. I as a gen z I did alot before my parents woke up hahaha. I paused and ran to wake my dad because he had English down unlike most Mexican families living in the USA. He explained that there was going to be another movie, blew my mind. I love that memory, yet I can not ever recall if I have ever watched star wars but do recall watching space balls🤣🤣🤣
