This "Souls" Shuffler Challenge almost gave me ADHD I hope you all enjoy the shuffler shenanigans and let me know if you want more like this :) The "shuffler" was inspired by DougDoug's shuffler stuff he's done lately.

@@charlesnieder8512 sorry it's not available to the public, and it's also way more complicated than just installing a mod. It uses a script to do all the swapping, but also takes 5 instances of cheat engine each with a specific table to pause each game on the swap. Then also a program to run sekiro and elden ring at the same time (cause steam just won't allow it lol), as well as some other minor things. And that's just how it is setup for me, the whole thing is barely held together by all the random stuff lol, so who knows if it would work on another PC the same way

No, since souls games don't "pause" you need to actually suspend the process while switching games so they stay in the background at 0% cpu usage.

The randomizer does that job, the "pause" "unpause", but the games states need to be saved somehow in the RAM memory or be read fast from the hard drive

I've never focused on a video so easily. The constant switching between games while knowing 3/5 of them was wild. The entire hour and a half flew by and I don't think I tabbed out of the video once. Quite literally a visualization of ADHD.

@@Thomas-um5pv requires way less concentration as everything is routed and extremely predictable. In a no hit run you know exactly where each enemy is and what they will do or can do. Here you need to keep track of each game and you don't even know which one it is going to switch to

@@victorpopov3809 Yes except no hit on every game took months to be done, as you have to know everything from every game and don't lose focus the whole time. 1 hit and it's back to square 1. This challenge here has nothing whatsoever punishing you for dying, so even you could get it done at some point. Chris can do it in one sitting because he's good at each game, but it would just take some more days for an average souls fan

Still this run was entertaining to watch. I suppose now the only run nobody ever done is this one combined with no hit. Set that as goal and you will have enought grind content streaming for a year.

I’m considering doing a similar run with 3 of my favorite games, Hollow Knight, Ori (Will of the Wisps), and Rain World. I’d probably have to just manually switch between games every few minutes because I have all 3 games on xbox (not the best platform in general, and I have HK on pc, but all 3 are so pretty I’d rather play them on a big screen). It should be pretty fun, hopefully I’ll say if it goes well!

Really interesting runs... I expected Sekiro to get done first, but i didnt expect the gap between it and Elden Ring to be so short, or the gap between ER and the Souls games to be so long. I guess one thing about an open world is that if you beeline straight to where you need to be and ignore the rest, you'll probably get there faster than if the game was linear and forced you to do more of the filler.

Yeah each game has a cheat engine script running on them that puts them in the windows "not responding" state essentially (except ds2 cause there wasn't a script out there that does that, which is why ds2 is jank in this lol). So the other games essentially aren't even running when I'm not playing them, which allows it to even run, otherwise running all these games at once would be crazy lol
