He completely exposes himself and his life in music and that's what I love about him. It is hard to find people willing to sing from the soul and he's one of them. Good music has a catchy tune and nice lyrics but great music is the kind you don't sing to please anyone but to reflect on yourself and your life as well as connecting with your audience. I feel the more intimate concerts do artists more justice than just a flashy show.

Finally found the lyrics :) She speaks like the rain, But she howls at the moon. She runs like the sun in the winter, She's not coming home soon. She follows the rain, She runs like the water. She revels in all his pain, She hits like her father She speaks like she wants, Words dripping with disdain She tells you she loves another, But she keeps you in awe, keeps you insane. 'Cause she don't give a shit about you, She will let you run away, So just run away, run away No she don't give a shit about you, She will let you run away, So just run away No she don't give a fucking shit about you, She will let you run away, So just run away. No, she don't give a shit about you, She will let you run away, So just run away Read more: Matt Corby - Runaway Lyrics | MetroLyrics

Got so so much love for this man its unbelievable.. It's nice to actually listen to music that makes you feel connected, alive. It's comforting to know that you can connect with people who share the same kind of pain with you through music. It's so beautiful and heartfelt. I just can't stop listening. I would love the opportunity to meet Matt and tell him how much he has helped me with his music. His music almost feels like home to me, it is my safe place. I'm so pleased to have an artist that can make me feel this way. Truly beautiful and highly grateful to find a little silver lining in the negatives which will always be hidden blessings and lessons learned. Thank you.

Matt Corby’s music has influenced me and been a strength to me throughout the past 8 years of my life. Although I love the music he’s released in recent years, and also watching the way his style has evolved, these older songs will always be my favorites. Their depth, vulnerability, and raw beauty make them timeless, and continue to be what I consider some of the best music that’s ever been written.
@Nightbird.3 жыл бұрын
I know exactly what you mean. I only discovered him a few months ago after listening to Brother..and I am always in awe of his beautiful voice, emotion and lyrics. Not to mention how physically gorgeous he is. As a gay guy I kept saying to myself "He can't be straight. He is too sweet and sensitive and beautiful.."..but of course I was wrong about that..lol. But..and I hate to admit this because I still love his voice..his latest music just isn't my fave. It's like he is singing less and featuring more the electronic sounds. And not only that..but when he does sing his newer songs..he is barely singing at all. It's like he has become a background singer for the instruments and electronic sounds he is producing. Still..I will always love him. I just hope he gets back to making his voice the main focus again..because his voice is one of the greatest ones I have ever heard. Take care!
