Would this board be capable of catching knee high stuff? 👍🏻

Hi, thanks for the question. Absolutely! The Whopper is a hugely capable and very stable performer thats enables a broad range of people to progress in a wide variety of conditions.

How would this do on flat water?

Hi Matt, to be perfectly honest it is not great on flat water. Every board is a compromise it is just what you are prepared to accept in this regard. Everything that makes the Whopper such a great surf shape works against on the flat. This boards wide width combined with its shorter length means it feels sticky and cumbersome on flat water compromising its tracking and glide. If you were looking to paddle in flatter conditions as well as surfing, we would suggest you consider the Starboard 10'5 Wedge (was known as the Wide Point) that is also available in Lite Tech as well as Starlite. If you would like to discuss this in more detail you can reach out to us at via our website - www.thesupco.com - thanks.
