Really good board. I weight 105 kg, no problem at al with 150l. Very convinient board, really good on the water, all conditions, would recomend for anyone foiling.

Hi Matt, congratularon for the explanation. Let me a couple of questions, I´m a intermediate/advanced (flat water) windsurfer, and I´d like to iniciate this new discipline, and I´d like to know What is my best choice, the X foil or the foil freeride? which volume (I´m 88kg weight)? knowing that freestyle is not my goal.

Hi, I'd recommend the Foil Freeride. 150l if you're planning to mostly use larger sails (7m+), 125l if you're using roughly 8.0m and below. The 125l is fun and responsive, great for gybing etc. The 150l could be described as a more user friendly raceboard , great for loading up with more power, more upwind/downwind performance etc! I hope this helps!

Thanks a lot Matt. Very useful. So, I´m gonna get the freeride 125 l. I´m looking forward to going to the water.@@tushinghamsalesltd

Great introduction! Any noticeable difference in durability between the two constructions? And any noticeable effect from the weight difference?

Hi, The Starlite is designed to be slightly more durable but the weight is the biggest difference. The lighter the board the easier it keeps flying!

Really good explanation. Thanks for the video. For a 75 kg sailor with a 8.5 m freerace foil dedicated sail and the starboard 1000 wing and 115plus fuselage, which board do you think it will take off earlier? I am not into upwind-downwind sailing, just to be able to foil in really light wind with the race foil. Thanks!

Hi thanks for getting in touch. In your case we would recommend the 150l for super light winds! You could try adding a + tail wing spacer and set the UJ towards the back of the track for even earlier lift!
