Replace "so many" with "nearly all of them". Roughly 95% of the HFY (rather AIFY ...) stories include 6 nax, six nags, 6 9, six nine, sigs nine, ... and/or a couple of ice dogs. Many of the stories have some kind of potential but every single time without fail that potential is floundered by the AI voices and/or inconsistencies in the story itself. So they changed the name to make sure we weren't given the ending. The idiot hunter was a Yautja and I guess they added venomous tendrils to its head instead of just gold adorned tendrils and a breather mask. He also had his gun holstered instead of mounted on his shoulder. Funny how he didn't mentioned the xenomorphs himself, but instead he described the Thing as being the scariest species. Considering we humans dealt with BOTH and our species was the last standing, I can see how we'd get the scariest award. Especially if we get specced out the wazoo with body enhancements. FAFO indeed.

The first I ran across something like that was was back in the 1950s, possibly the 1960s. It may have been in a short story by Asimov in the Foundation universe. Some archeologist was studying anchient languages, trying to locate the original homeworld of humanity, and was fairly certain they called - it the language that was the root of all human languages - "mud" or "dirt" or a similar word.

Keep in mind, not ONLY did we beat these things, but we beat these things with UNTRAINED, NON-MILITARY UNITS IN EXTREME ISOLATION!! Alien is taken down by some space-truckers with a futuristic forklift and tools to eradicate bug infestations (flamethrower). The Thing is taken down by a group of scientists using de-icing equipment and cooking supplies (flamethrower again and methane). Legitimately, Predator being taken out by a beat cop is less impressive. At least that guy was in familiar territory and was trained to use a firearm.

We can take on those other scary things too. Especially with the enhancements. I'm making it my head canon that we were created by the Universe's creator to subdue and have in subjection this planet and all the life on it - something I believe anyway. It wasn't a deathworld at the time, but the fact that we've gone way beyond that mission to the point of nearly ruining the planet, both after falling from grace and apparently becoming weaker, and after the world was made a deathworld SPECIFICALLY as punishment... Ain't nothing gonna be THAT much of a challenge. If it's after the Millennial Reign, we'd be perfect again, and God will be respawning folks like that woman's husband and kids. HFY idea: We were created specifically to bring order to the civilizations of the Universe. The "... And they will learn war no more." thing only applies to war against eachother.

Getting goofy, what if this helped beam could aldo cause the beings aboard the Union ships to loose control of their bowels resulting in the vessel's crews "dropping a big, long "dump" on the spot followed by a blossoming of many Alien Air Biscuits taking flight 😵

Well ya surely upgraded or maybe uplifted my /all eyes that can read, vo-cab for 2day. . . . . i.e. "Thaumaturgeists" and also spelling of "Procliveations" maybe sorta but have to expand and share that 1st one. . . . . . first! → Thaumaturgy: practical application of magic to effect change in the physical world associated with the manipulation of natural forces, the creation of wonders, and the performance of magical feats through esoteric knowledge and ritual practice. Unlike "theurgy", which focuses on invoking divine powers, "thaumaturgy" is more concerned with utilizing occult principles to achieve specific outcomes, often in a tangible and observable manner. It is sometimes translated into English as wonderworking → perform wonders or miracles [hmmm, ya don't say] oK then, there is that! Also now looking at "Alien Air Biscuits" and am not 100 on a def. The BLOSSOMING eventuality adds to my dumbfoundedness Have an idea, just not 100 /;^) As to this story, kinda long in the teeth to get to the human entry point lets say. Otherwise normally length is non issue fo me. Maybe I was distracted and missed some important bit[s] idk oR it could be my grand-D and her mother exchanging heated volleys about cleaning a room. Whether it was her loved ones, or she was simply hired to get those poor three humans some savage Justice? She was perfect.. I'm disabled myself from work injuries, compression fractures of the spine.. 7 vertebrae crushed, and four discs destroyed.. twenty years ago, so the arthritis from it is pretty advanced.. I can still walk, for just a few minutes before I have to sit down or fall.. So I REALLY wish those human enhancements were real.. So.. know where I can find that Human fix/it, modifications shop? I'll start saving my pennies now... : ) buuuuuut, if I could, I'd pay it off in offing bad aliens contracts.... I mean, I haz the training for it.. I just need the added mods to make it happen...
