The key to happy customers is happy employees. The Baristas can't be expected to give great customer experiences and provide fast service, when they are pressured to have 45 second interaction times....all while being bombarded with delivery orders. People in the Cafe and drive thru don't see the 15-20 Doordash orders. That delivery process needs a separate barista, pick up station, etc. It's taking away from the experience of in cafe customers. The biggest issues are understaffing, process and cafe ambience. If you fix those, price won't be an issue. If a restaurant can charge $4 for a crappy cup of coffee and $10 for a slice of cake, price isn't the issue for a hand crafted drink. It's value and experience. Start with the Barista experience, and the customer experience will improve naturally.

The only thing this CEO knows how to do is reduce portions and raise prices. He is a one trick pony. Never once saw the customer experience improve at Chipotle. Just portions going down and prices going up.

You’re 1000% correct. Chipotle stores are beyond disgusting and employees have very little training.

My spouse commented on how our local Scooters coffee ☕️ is so much faster than waiting forever for Starbucks. It is the price and the wait. It is like they think people are so addicted to coffee that they will put up with anything.

Exactly! The coffee isn't that great either.

Overpriced sucky coffee is not selling. I wonder why that’d be case.

The problems Starbucks is seeing should definitely open up business ideas for others. I mean, don't talk about "price architecture" just make it simple for consumers to choose from, offer at a good price and reduce the intangible "premium" factor and pass on those savings to the consumer.

I don't short but Starbucks is tempting as hell, no other business I can see is so easily taken out. What the hell else do you think all these millions of software people going to do from what AI I will do to the industry, think about it. There are thousands of mom and pops shops coming on to wreck em!

So let me get this straight you are flying this guy up on a private jet three times a week paying a 40 million dollars and a solution is not to charge for nut milk? He then goes and talks about liking the office that he's commuting to with a private jet 3 days a week? Then let's look at why they hired him he came from Chipotle the reason people are going to Chipotle is because it is now competitive with the price of for instance a McDonald's meal
@lapampa429656 минут бұрын
Price Architecture ...that is what he is talking about? If the guy can't even speak normal language and has to resort to accounting terms....no hope. Starbucks is a old mature company and the best days are behind it.

A company is it's employees and if the employees are not happy the company will suffer.

How about offering coffee with quality ingredients? I’m so tired of corporations using cheap oils and synthetic chemicals in everything we eat and drink and to top it all with high prices! Give me a break.

Sounds like a dumpster fire. I was waiting to buy some Starbucks stock, but I think I’m gonna pass. This guy’s revolutionary idea is to give people free milk in their overpriced coffee and somehow save them 10%. I don’t see how either of those is gonna make any difference. I might even start shorting the company

All abstract answers, nothing specific. This is usually means that they dont have answers to any of the problems.
