I used to watch this show every day after school. Good times!

Joust is a timeless classic...it would've been great to own one of those cabinets. Joust 2 not so much, but the original Joust is still a blast to this day.

TWO from the "Mr. Do" family? That's guaranteed excitementt for this installment of "Starcade".

@@DLCOrganization that's true. But I guess I was meaning the mr. Do sideart with the clown. I have only seen Mr. Do cabs have that generic white background with the red orange and yellow stripe and the word "universal" written in red. This sideart seems rare. Kool tho.
@atrain8186 ай бұрын
This mr. Do cab is also not the original universal cabinet that came from the factory. The cabinet in this show looks to be a conversion kit. Maybe that explains the different sideart.

Mike made a mistake during that poem. He said that two or three correct answers during the Name the Game Board round resulted in a prize. It was actually three or four correct answers.

And later on, we would learn that Cliffhanger used footage from "Lupin III - The Castle of Cagliostro", directed by Hayao Miyazaki, who also directed "Princess Mononoke", "Kiki's Delivery Service", "Spirited Away", "Castle in The Sky", and "Howl's Moving Castle".

Most games they don't start the timer until the player has control. But here in Pole Position (and on another show for Mappy) they started hte countdown 3-4 seconds before the player could move. So unfair.
@SpacePortArcade2 ай бұрын
It is fair if they do it for both players.
@FUGP722 ай бұрын
@@SpacePortArcade They've also done it for the final bonus round. And once, it definitely mattered as the player just BARELY missed the score to reach.
@jc626Ай бұрын
Not true. He just didn't start right away and lost like 2-3 seconds. Geoff even mentions the slow start afterwards.
