Neil Erredge The FOMO is real! I’ve been looking forward to getting into this series since Arcadia Quest. It’ll be available retail so you’ll have access to the core, although none of the exclusives, so I get that. I’m an all or nothing kinda guy... my wallet is not.

Havent followed this much because I am not as into space theme as the medieval theme but is it supposed to play pretty much the same as arcadia quest and is that a game you have played and liked ? I have inferno KS I am trying to resell right now but havent played yet because I just wont get to paint it anytime soon and I hate playing games before painting them so Its sat on my shelf for too long. Plus I read a lot of mixed reviews on gameplay and the whole semi coop and so on and was a bit turned off in the end. Curious to hear your thoughts if you have played other editions.

This is actually my first foray into the Arcadia/Starcadia series of games. I only opened the box 2days ago and have not had any time to play it, so I can’t really say. I’ve also heard mixed reviews, but the description sounds like it’s right up my ally.

Can the upgrade tokens from the showdown box be mixed in with the other upgrades for the campaign/PvE format or is it exclusively for showdown?

@@BoardGameCoffee thanks for the reply. I couldn't find a pdf of the rulebook or any information regarding that online. It has 70 upgrades. That's alot of variety that could be added to the campiagn if it can be. I got everything on ks except showdown. Would get it on retail if it does.

Come to think of it. All upgrades are numbered to match up with specific missions, so if you fallow those rules I assume they wouldn’t... if I remember, I’ll check out our when I’m back in the studio next :)

You can mix all upgrades from all the expansions together but they fit into levels of Starter (S), 1, 2 and 3 (after 1st scenario, after 2nd and after 3rd respectively). For example you can use a level 1 upgrade from build-a-bot for a 2A or 2B scenario of the base game or aarmarda.

Also I checked the showdown upgrades. They are all marked with an (S) for showdown i presume and not starter. So i think it cannot be cuz they are really strong to be made available to draft from the beginning and make the rest of the level 1-3 upgrades redundant. Anyways thanks for looking it up for me anyways. Looking forward to part 2 of the starcadia playthrough. Tc mate

I only backed the Space Marauders Pledge in addition to the showdown expansion. With a few add-ons I must say there’s so much content. Wish I could go all in but mannn oh man where will I store this haha Same with Batman GCC, too much content for one game to go all in. Thanx for the unboxing 👊🏽
