Was at work, so wasn't paying attention to chat if someone answered this already. If you want to practice your opener: To reset cooldowns, hop into an unsynced trial instance, and then hop back out. Otherwise, I would recommend unlocking stone sky and sea. This gives an instanced training dummy that gauges whether you are outputting enough dps for the instance of your choosing. You have 3 and a half minutes or so to burst down the dummy or you fail. So it allows you to practice opener, odd minute bursts and two minutes, which is kinda nice if you notice you are drifting cooldowns earlier in your rotation. Hope this helps. Srone Sky Sea is good for beginners, even if its not accurate(no attack dodging), you should be able to beat it. If you do, you are in the range. Other option is "magical number generator".....but we dont talk about those.

I find best practice in unsyncing diamond weapon (extreme). After your opener you can just jump from the plattform and thus reset your cooldowns again. Doesnt die too quickly and also doesnt hurt. Tbh almost any ex with a deathwall does the job pretty effectively.

My group cleared the fight right as the stream was getting started, and I knew that it was unlikely that the boys would have been able to clear in one sitting. The whole stream I dreaded that the boys would be discouraged by the end, and I am relieved that they saw this as more of a challenge to overcome and got even more pumped for the next session. Also, I hope the boys don't think this is normal for day 1 extremes, this fight is intense, I would say comparable to M2S in terms of difficulty.

Eh, i would say this is maybe a bit on the spicy end of the scale but still pretty on par for most extremes - barbariccia and golbez were both just as if not more difficult on release, and even trials like endsinger were similarly difficult to most PFs.

Every x.1 EX tends to be spicier than the rest just because it’s the x.0 boss fight. I mean previous examples are Seiryu, Hades, and Twitter which all were rough day 1.

i find it fascinating that they default to putting supports upfront whereas i feel like most groups will do dps front prio for role splits / melee+tanks front prio for general splits makes sense since they play both supports! its just very interesting to see how their mind works

Who could possibly argue over parses and healers adjusting if your strategy guide is a stop-motion cat-magnets video, and you have to declare which colour kitty you're playing when you zone in to the instance?
