Tokens don't trigger descend effects as they count permanent cards specifically, not just permanents. But I am glad you guys caught that the slime counters from Toxrill aren't -1/-1 counters!

Tokens are not CARDS in the rules of mtg. So, no, cracking a treasure will not count to your descending, because descend says permanent CARD. It's really unintuitive, and it's honestly understandable that you wouldn't know that. I wish it just said nontoken permanent instead.

If it said nontoken permanent, it wouldn't count cards discarded or cards milled for descending.

@@erikstokely4734honestly it really is a bad representation of Magic as a whole. Imagine coming into a game, any game, and seeing someone who has played that game at its HIGHEST levels, yet knows almost NOTHING about the game and has the reading comprehension of a elementary school kid. What would you think of the ‘skill’ it took to play that game? Not much right? Apologist here in the comments have been saying for a while “give him a chance, he’s new to Commander”. Problem with that is, he’s new to Commander, not Magic. And his problems are far beyond just not being familiar with the format. Second problem is, they are how many seasons in now? And it has only gotten WORSE! He still needs the three other people at the table to play his deck for him and he’s easily manipulated because of it. But, since SCG fired pretty much everyone but these four, no one really to replace him. So it is what it is…

Not sure if you've done this already, but here's an idea for a video: Play commanders from the original commander product (Karador, Riku, etc) HOWEVER you can only build the decks with cards printed AFTER that set was released. So you have an old school commander with a new school deck

I legit had a dream last night about the Commander VS crew. In my dream Jeremy and Corey were astronauts up in space while Stephen and Jon were their mission controllers back on earth and they were all trying to play a game of webcam Magic together. I don't really remember anything about what decks they were all playing, but I vividly remember that Jeremy and Corey were trying to keep their board state in order but because of the zero gravity their cards kept floating everywhere and they all kept bickering at eachother like "wait, was my land already tapped or did it just spin in zero G??" Oh and I distinctly remember Corey being very Corey-like because every time someone played a big threat he'd be like "Uhhhh Houston!.... We have a problem!"

Stephen can't stop winning! It's time to do an episode where you three make a deck full of secrets for Stephen that he hasn't looked through full of explore, discover, descend, investigate so he can go looking for clues but no cards that let him search through the deck and get any peeks. The rest of you play fun theme decks around the archetypes of the set but make sure his deck is both playable and fun but also not too fair or weak. We know he hates secrets so this will be a riot! 😂

I'm not sure if I would have killed Jon first and still tried to fight the control player and the tokens player. Jon was absolutely a problem for Stephen in the future but I think taking out two players, giving them both 1 point for the game and taking minus 1 for killing Jeremy in last place first would be worth second place or first place in my eyes.

When fleet swallower attacks it says on the card that a target player mills half their library but both players milled. Are you allowed to target both players or only one? I thought it would have to say each opponent for it to resolve like that.

The myriad pools made a land a copy of the fleet swallower so he made each one target one player

i also think the mycotyrant a play on mycelium and fungi and should therefore be pronounced with a soft c, not a hard c. but maybe having the o right after the c changes things?

It's crazy the amount of content creators that have gotten mycotyrant and even pantlaza completely incorrect. The problem most likely comes from not buidling the deck themselves but still.. kinda wild. Like he even asks the table if it works with treasures and everyone say yes without questioning or even reading the descended reminder text on the card. I don't mean this as a slight against this channel, but games ruined by najor errors like this have put me off of several channels I typically really enjoy for this release.
