I just want to say how much i appreciate the way you do commander! Watching you guys play is like playing the game yourself. it's casual, it's fun! There's banter and there is friendly anger. It feels real! Compared to say The Command Zone where everything is treated like some sort of reality show where the interesting stuff keeps getting interupted because they want to interject someone whose going to explain to you what you just saw and how much is sucked. Very happy you guys played a second game- these decks were on a slightly higher power level than what you usually do, and I liked it a lot. Great to see them all do their thing rather than just ending with Stephen's Omnath sweep. Also, as a fellow Omnath player, I was very satisfied with the #teamGreen performance :P

I was thinking the same thing, with the addendum that it's also off my about $400. I don't own Gaea's Cradle or Doubling Season yet, most notably, and Greater Good is on my list for the next wave of singles I pick up but I don't actually have a copy yet either. Elementaristocrats is pretty entertaining to play, even if Omnath himself is pretty central to the whole thing working smoothly and kind of a target.

thats because all omnath decks are exactly the same and play the exact same cards.. nothing original about it.. still strong.. but very boring and generic as all omnath decks are built the same

Hey Justin if you still have questions about Water/Wastewater treatment I might be able to answer them...I'm only 13 minutes in, maybe you and Jeremy discuss it further into the video, but if you are still curious ask away...I am a certified Class 4 Water and Wastewater Production, Treatment and Distribution Operator in the state of Louisiana...currently working in the 2nd largest Water Treatment Plant in the state...from the sound of your question @ 11:57 it seems like you are wondering where the treated Wastewater goes...in the city I live once the Wastewater is treated it is returned to the Mississippi River, which is also the source of our drinking water...but in some areas where water conservation is a real priority treated Wastewater is returned to the head of the Water Treatment plant and re-used...yes, as Potable drinking water.....but this is only "Grey Water" and not from toilets or any source or stream with fecal contamination....different parts of the country have different procedures based on many things including State Sanitary Codes and abundance of water sources....

After that story, while Jeremy almost always gets killed the turn after he does some big splashy mana play..I sure hope his deck gets to go the distance and at least play out. What a great story, congrats to the decks owner/creator and good on the Versus guys for working with their fans in such a neat way!

Just fyi, that play at 56:30 does not work that way. Sacrifice requires an additional cost. The trigger from Mindslicer goes on top of the Sacrifice, and Justin would have the discard the Necromancy before receiving the mana from Sacrifice to pay for it.

I have a Kruphix and an Omnath deck. Excited to watch this one. Who do I root for? My Kruphix has a particular strategy, so I will wait to see how Jeremy plays him. Mine can quickly change to Prime Speeker Zegana with about seven cards changed (in with the ones that give you no max hand size, cause that's important to the strategy).

I may be wrong but shouldn't Justin go to 32 when he cast Spawn of Ulamog with the Hall of the Bandit Lord? Same with Erebos later I think. You can't make a Mana with the Hall without taking the 3, unless you have Urborg etc of course. EDIT: They got it a few minutes later, sorry guys!

Right? Sacrifice strategies seem so suboptimal for that deck, but it's so much fun to sacrifice stuff for big damage. Bonus points if you can throw Stalking Vengeance into the mix.

He also wouldn't have to draw any cards if he let each triggered omnath 3 damage resolve, then before greater good's draw resolves sacrifice another elemental. So goblin bombardment and greater good work exactly the same if you have enough damage to kill everyone with either card. Greater Good would just make you draw them if you DIDN'T kill everyone.

Pretty large mistake here with the Kruphix deck in game 2. Kruphix does NOT enter the battlefield as a creature since his devotion is only 4, thus it shouldn't trigger the card draw from Zendikar. The rules text is very clear on this: "If a God enters the battlefield, your devotion to its color (including the mana symbols in the mana cost of the God itself) will determine if a creature entered the battlefield or not, for abilities that trigger whenever a creature enters the battlefield."

Zendikar Resurgent has a cast trigger, and Kruphix is a creature spell.

So at 32:10 can someone explain to me the interaction that killed doran? It's a 4/9 with the skeleton and sword attached the enchantment only does 5 so how does it die?

Sure, so when he has "Where the Ancients Tread" active, he casts Omnath, triggering WTAT, since Omnaths power is 5, the enchantment deals 5 dmg. Then, he plays a land for his turn, Omnath spawns a 5/5 elemental, which triggers WTAT again for another 5 dmg targeting doran. So all in all, WTAT got triggered twice (once from Omnath, and once from the 5/5 elemental from Omnaths landfall) for 10 dmg.

That Krozan Grip was something... like, it was on table how problematic Steven's Enchantment setup was. That +1 point is not worth sacrificing the game for.

He should have made Steven at least sack his stuff to dig for an answer. The things that he would have sacked ended up attacking him (hindsight, kinda). No reason to not to though, cause that K grip will still work later on after that. Maybe he finds burn damage (possible), instant speed land drop (not likely), or artifact removal (red green?) ( I know its steaven,,,) we know at least blast act is in there. He had 24 dig on the table.

True, but as it stood Jon had them all dead on board. Jeremy using his answer guarantees that he lives and that the Hydra dies from Steven's damage. While Steven could have sacked his baord for an answer, we all know that Steven doesn't include artifact/enchantment removal when brewing (though that's all based off how he has played in the past) lol

He did mention he had blast act in his deck, 25 cards is like above 33% chance of drawing it. That's not factoring any cycling from that. Flash Elementals also work to kill it, any tempt steal creature effect. I was surprised though that steaven didn't crop rotate for a maze of ith - makes me think he mighta known about the krozan.

33% is still pretty slow I think, but there is no way to know lol. I honestly think Steven miscalculated (notice in the video he goes "Ohh" realizing that he can't kill it)
