SU is usually about peace and love while SVTFOE is more about actually defeating your enemies. Sure they both had an episode where the main character found out that the monsters aren't as evil as they thought. SU:"These aren't evil monsters they're gems that been Corrupted." I was so mad and upset when Moon said she was working with Mina. I wanted to yell at her. How could she help someone that wants to commit a monster genocide. Eclipsa isn't like her mother. She wanted peace and even fell in love with a monster and had a child. There was beginning to be unity between monsters and Mewmans. Moon is not like her mother and should/would (properly) be ashamed of her. Comet tried to make a peace treaty with the monsters. Star since before she meet Eclipsa tried to bring them together. Just for Moon to ruin it. Mewmans are the invading colonizers that are oppressing a victimize species. I was crying when Moon made that reveal. Just for her to claim it was because Eclipsa stopped her from killing Meteora. THAT WAS HER DAUGHTER!!! WHAT DID YOU EXPECT! Meteora had justification for attacking Mewni. They took away her future and life and had to live humiliated of her half monster heritage. Moom is basically overthrowing the royal family. I just needed to rant it out...

Throughout the entire show, Eclipsa has been made to be an "evil queen" but she hasn't done anything evil. She was falsely imprisoned, had her entire life taken away from her and her family taken. She has continuously treated Moon and the MHC with respect and hospitality but yet she is still treated as if she is this bad person. Eclipsa has not done one evil thing. Not even in the Magic Book of Spells is she even described as doing anything evil. She has been treated horribly her entire life but yet she puts all this behind her and is still willing to work with Moon in the next episode. I just want justice for Eclipsa and Globgor and for everyone to realize that she hasn't done anything evil. She hasn't received any type of apology. Like dang people!

I personally think the Starco kiss did have proper build up and was well written. Moon...Moon and the Magical High Commission made me feel conflicted. I loved these characters but their actions, made me feel the same anger and betrayal Star felt. But, that makes me appreciate the show and the writers for making me feel this way. They really did manage to make these characters flawed and 3-dimensional. In relation to everything Star is going through in these episodes, WOW FATHER TIME DID NOT LIE (toughest times really WERE UP AHEAD)!

Gosh I really don't like Starco. I'm not a shipper, I'm not saying that because I'm mad Star or Marco didn't get with someone else, I couldn't care less. It's just that when I started watching svtfoe I found it so refreshing to see two protagonist that are just best friends without the usual untold love stuff that you usually see in cartoons. Imagine how disapointed I was when the show started hinting at Starco. I really had hope when they started introducing new characters and at the beging of this season, I hoped Star will be single and stay single after the finale. The blood moon episode was awesome and really touching and even if I don't like Starco, I thought it was nice to remove the curse so they can get a fresh start and their relationship wouldn'y seem forced. But there was no developpement of their feelings afterward, just characters hinting at it. I knew Starco was going to be canon but I really wished they will do it in a beautyful way but instead I feel like it's really rushed and forced by the magical power of plot so yeah, for me Starco have been a disapointment from start to end. I'm not trying to create a ship war or say that you souldn't ship Starco, you have the total right to love them together, and I'm really happy for you cause I must be amazing to see your otp come true. It's just that in a fandom where everybody seems to love them as a couple, I really needed to say what's on my mind even tho it's not a popular opinion (and forgive my terrible English)

I honestly feel that Starco was forced too, with the endless teasing of their relationship from even people who barely know Star and Marco personally and the forced behavior of both Star and Marco it feels that even without the blood moon there’s still a force that’s forcing them to be together, and that’s the writers. I was never against Starco as a concept, I felt that it had potential, but they botched it with terrible execution and with how they made Star act this season I’m at the point where I just don’t care who she ends up with, mostly because the majority of this season leads me to believe that she simply isn’t ready for a relationship with anyone and that she’s too unlikable, seriously with how frustratingly hypocritical she was throughout most of this season and how she handled her relationship with Tom I don’t really give a damn about Star anymore, I honestly care more about what happens to Eclipsa and we don’t see her as much as we see Star.

There are two types of people in this fandom now: The ones who think the Starco kiss was rushed and the ones who think that the crew gave it the proper development. I'm with second part. I've been around this fandom since the beginning of 2016 and my first episode was The Blood Moon Ball. Three years of seeing these dorks grew up. Three years of development. And what development you ask me? Their friendship. You don't need to see actual signs of love to see a Friendship bloom into a Love relationship. It was clear as water what their friendship was going to be with at least the last 2 season. The fact that even after so much trouble to get their relationship together,after so much trouble with them liking and dating other people, they still remained friends and that's what counts

@Dream Queen Jin : I can totally get where your reaction is coming from, and i have to say that it totally sucks that the writers did this to Moon. This kind of mistake, even with the contingency anti-solarian warrior spell, is downright dumb and in my eyes Moon would've been the ONLY person who would've been smart enough to not have gone with it. She's been shown to make very smart and mature decisions and the rest of her plan does make a little sense, allying with Mina to prevent the total slaughter she would've done unchecked. In moon's eyes she believes that Mina Loveberry was after the Queen of Monsters aka Echlipsa, and wanted a true mewman in the throne a statement that all of the mewmans that helped create their own mini kingdom with Moon and RIver would agree by. It totally sucks that the writers decided to cuck Moon's thinking skills and creating more soldiers for her, as it only raised the stakes if her anti-solarian spell does not work. This decision is only a tool to help further the "Star needs to destroy magic" plot (which in on itself is stupid) Once again I can't blame you for a distrust for Moon, but I believe that it's the writers fault for throwing her whole character's thought process out of the window for that one decision to help amp up the stakes.

I don’t like how they never even questioned what happened to Tom in any of these episodes. Spending too much time in the realm of magic is kind of dangerous, especially with that dark unicorn thing running around. I know he‘ll be back for the finale, but if Star could take the time off to run all the way to the Pig-Goat barn and confess her love to Marco, then she should have had the seconds to be worried about Tom(in a platonic way, calm your tits), but because she’s unable to look for him in the current situation, she just promises that they’ll come back for him as soon as they can.

I loved how Star and Marco's relationship naturally grew overtime from good friends - best friends - crushes - lovers - couple, I've always been fond of the best friends turned boyfriend/girlfriend thing since. I get that not everyone has to hook up all the time but I personally love the classic romance. For all the other ships not involving Star/Marco, they were merely catalysts for the development of the main ship Starco.

Heckapoo realized this as well and went to save Star and the others. But yeah, I believe when you're dealing with someone like Mina, it's not a good idea to help them. Unless you have a spell that punishes the user for using it incorrectly. Then you give that to mina and hope she makes the right choice. If not, mina destroys herself due to her insanity and stubbornness.

12:05 Nah, it happened a day after. Remember, Tom and Marco we’re talking at night in Marco’s room and Star woke them both up the morning after. I also think, while timeline-wise, it’s very close to TomStar breakup and may feel less genuine as a result, but Tom literally nudged both of them to talk to the other and make the jump from friends to lovers (Tom telling Star she already has a person she can be best friends with, Tom telling Marco it’s okay if they end up together and they have something better than a curse). Personally, I don’t mind it happening before the finale (for one we can see some of their interactions as a couple that should have been explored this whole season instead of delaying it to the end for the will-they-won’t-they trope. Season three finale/season four premiere was prime time for TomStar to end and Starco to begin, but given what we got I’m still content with this). Furthermore, it does feel in-character for Star to be overwhelmed and try to decompress with the one person who can calm her down. And given the events of the past few episodes-ESPECIALLY “Mama Star”-the moment these two had some alone time, they were bound to talk about their feelings and accept them. So I don’t think it felt too out of place in the wake of everything else. Furthermore, while they could have used the revelation in “Tavern at the End of the Multiverse” to have Star confess on-screen her love for Marco, I felt that their established romance made it all the more heart-wrenching when Star desperately pleaded for her and Marco to be together after she destroys the magic. But that’s just me, I invite you all to share your thoughts as well.

The Tomstar breakup wasn’t the same day as Star and Marco’s kiss though. Tom stayed over night at the Diaz’s place - later helping Janna the next day - that’s one day gone by. Then they all go to the realm of magic - later waking up another day later in Mewni. Sure it’s still a short time since the break up, but it’s definitely not the same day as the breakup.

What I didn't get from the scene with Marco and Star was Marco mentions how he loved her from the very beginning and yet during the episode of Kelly's world, he mentions how he didnt want to have those feelings for her in order to try and be with Kelly. It's why im honestly glad these stupid shipping wars is over. Ruined this fourth season because how focused it was on it.

It was obvious from the start that they had secret feelings for each other before the Blood Moon Ball but they didn't want to admit because of Jakie. But since Marco realized he wanted to be with Star the feelings grows stronger and the long awaited kiss is the cherry on top of everything. As for Moon well their should have been other choices like warning Eclipsa of Mina instead of making more of them. That makes things more worst than ever but that's just my opinion.

Agreed so much the other pairings in the show felt natural while Starco always felt like hey main girl and guy are friends therefore they will get together eventually. At least Kim Possible pulled it off naturally where we see Ron and Kim gradually grow to like each other. Here with Star and Marco it was always outside forces like Blood Moon Ball or others telling them they should get together that made them like each other at least in Marco's case.

Man, all queens after eclipsa were straight out awful. Excepting Skywinne's mother Lyric who burned down the castle and lost the original book of spells with all it's history, wisdom and knowledge. Festivia the Drunk- Do I even have to explain? With a title like that, she was just a wild party animal who left all the work to the MHC and hardly cared for her people. Dirhennia- It's not really her fault, she seemed a little mentally ill. But she was still quite uninterested in her duties and people. Crescenta- She was an ego inflated wench who clogged up the archives with her 5000 useless spells. She only cared about her ego as she was as she stated the queen who contributed the most spells. Rhina- Only about her rhiddles. She had a sad sort of life, with her abusive husband but she wasn't that bad. Celena- I honestly don't know what to say about her. Estrella- She really contributed nothing to Mewman society all she did was draw. That's it. Comet- She really cared about her people and actually made and effort to make peace with the monsters but she wasn't careful enough so she got herself killed. Moon- Now that I realise it Moon really wasn't that great of a queen. Sure she kept the kingdom organised but she let's her emotions affect her decisions when she should have stayed disinterested. During the battle of Mewni she plans to hide out with star instead of helping her kingdom which is cowardly and unbecoming of a queen. She releases Globor who at that point in time she believed a dangerous threat only to frame Eclipsa. She worked with Mina who she knew was crazy just so she could become queen again. She's even more egotistical than Crescenta.

Especially considering the episodes after. It didn't feel right. I think it confessing, that was right. That as fine, but the kiss. The cherry on top, it shoulda waited until later, it shuolda been at the end, when everything was figured out, and they could finally be happy.

Here's a theory, The mewmans could go to earth. Assuming Eclipsa doesn't just take the easy way and fire off the spell with no name, I think it's safe to say that magic will be destroyed. Pehaps Star will find another way to get to Marco, (which I think is likely) but if not, without magic glossaric says Marco will go where he belongs. The tapestry may not show him because it's on Mewni which they may shortly be on before they are teleported to earth. The basis of this theory is that Marco basically confirmed that Mewmans were originally human, and since magic plus glossaric caused the creation of mewni by getting the humans there all mewmans technically belong on Earth.

I agree that Tom and Star should've probably broken up earlier, and that 5 second long "breakup buddy" thing with Kelly and Marco just shouldn't have happened (or should've happened after Lava Lake beach in s3) I like starco and I'm glad it's canon now, but most of the shipping stuff this season was just messy

God, that whole moment where Marco and Star finally air out their feelings is almost exactly like a conversation me and my sister had shortly after Curse of the Blood Moon. Love like what Star and Marco have, it wasn't something that just happened all at once, it was the definition of having your best friend be your s/o. The feelings were always there, and no curse or severing stone could alter those feelings. They started out small, then over the seasons, as they became better and better friends, they grew stronger until the two of them had no choice but to realize them. I love the way the relationships in this show have gone, how they're all so full of love and caring. Even when Tom broke up with Star, it was because he'd become a better person and truly desired to see her happy even if it wasn't with him. River just wants Moon to be happy, and has supported her in her choices since she first became queen, and she loves him back because she knows he only has the best of intentions even if things don't always go right. Marco's parents are weird and quirky, but at the end of the day they love and care about each other and their children more then anything. Globgor and Eclipsa are just adorable together, all she wants is to be with him and to be happy and all he wants is to see her and their daughter safe, even if it meant they couldn't be with him. Even Ponyhead and Seahorse, where he'll do anything to see her happy (although I admit they aren't the best example, given Ponyhead's general attitude). This show is a good example of how love, emotions, and relationships work, how they're confusing and difficult and crazy at times, and how they can change as we grow older and discover new things about ourselves and each other. None of these relationships are the same, but nobody can deny that at the end of the day the people within them love each other deeply.

I really love how this show makes you think about the "forces of evil". I love Moon and Eclipsa's conflict going on right now because in a sense they are both in the right and wrong at the same time. Moon cares for her people and is doing this all for them, and Eclipsa's main concern is her direct family and wants to protect them -- both are right, but both are prioritizing one way over the other. Perhaps they will come to an agreement and balance each other out somehow. I can't wait for what's next!
