Raynor is not only your favourite, Lowko. He plays Zerg as it "should"law-wise, protecting the hive but always swarming his opponent. Kind of like many Terrans played in WoL. ANd he is incredible good with this style, perhaps the best player in the world. He still is behind the defensive Zergs like Serral, but i love watching him play. Keep him coming!

I remember an old game called Ground Control 2 that has that feature. Puts a real incentive to making sure "that hero marine" survives his heroism. I haven't actually played the first one to know if that feature is present.

the thing that got reynor was that he had to constantly rebuild his army which was pretty gas heavy at the time so he didnt have enough gas towards the end to get his armor and attack upgrades

That was quite nice. Reynor went Corruptor + Brood Lord. He never added Hydralisks underneath it, but the Queens served a similar function to pick off Vikings getting too close to the Brood Lords. This is my favorite composition for Zerg, and I almost never see Zerg players going for it. He should not have given up air control -- losing all those Corruptors to Vikings to get a Planetary Fortress was a mistake. I think he didn't see that he could replace some Corruptors with Hydralisks and just keep pushing in with Brood Lords. You really only need a few Corruptors to chase Vikings when they flee, since Hydralisks get thwarted by terrain. The army should be enough Corruptors to chase away Vikings after some come in trying to snipe Brood Lords, enough Brood Lords to push back a tank line so that Hydralisks can move forward, and the rest is just a Hydralisk ball. The main danger is walking blindly into tank fire, so you scout with the tanky Corruptors and then move in the rest behind it. I did not hate the addition of a Roach ninja squad to the mix. Hydras are better to get/hold air control than Roaches, but that was a nice cheeky alternate way to do what the Brood Lords are supposed to do (break the tank lines). The Roaches ended up serving him pretty well as an anti-Cyclone wall too, similar to what the Hydra ball should be doing but just slightly worse at it. MarineLord went Tank + Viking + Cyclone, adjusting as needed. That is my favorite composition for Terran. Vikings go after Brood Lords so that that tank line holds off Zerg ground forces, which allows Cyclones to engage Corruptors until Terran gains air control (if possible). Vikings can land to help on the ground, which he did several times -- when's the last time you saw a mass of landed Vikings push back a Roach army? He deserved the win.

Promotion is an interesting idea. Ultralisk becomes Torrasque after 5 confirmed kills. Hydralisk becomes Hunter Killer etc. That would be sick.

That was hands down the best TvZ I've seen in the new patch; and it didn't even feature battleships or ultralisks. I couldn't predict the winner until the last few seconds when the Zerg suddenly ran out of resources and units in a single bad engagement.

The skill level of these types of players is just completely ridiculous. It is amazing that Serral was able to win all the WCS tournaments this year because it seems with all these top level players that anyone of them could win at anytime.

Units do indded get higher ranks, when they get more kills, that means, when you click on them in the description it will show a higher rank, but higher ranks don't change the units strengh.

Everyone's saying that its because of the base that Reynor lost. I think it had alot more to do with 3/3 upgrades vs. 2/1. That's huge, and had a massive effect on every engagement.

Lowko, I don't know if you remember or ever read my comment (its possible it was with my old account: wederwoord), but I made a post on the video where you where thinking of quitting your education and go fulltime SC2 content creator. Lots of people where telling you to stay in school. but I knew you had the talent and the perseverance to keep producing quality content every day. So I said you should go for it, because all of the skills that you where develloping, like writing scripts, editing video, networking the gaming industry, and becomming a known personallity in the scene, are all skills that are more unique and valueable than whatever education you where doing. And I would not give this advice to anyone, people without the talent and perseverance are better off in school. Anyway, I'm superhappy for you that I was not wrong and you are happy with your amazing carreer. You deserve it, my man! You worked hard enough for your succes. But, what if Sc2 shuts down tomorrow and he is left without something to back up said skills? What if he needs to apply to a job, and he (hypotetically) knows everything about Industrial Design and Safety or Automatization and Control, but an Engineer is standing behind him on the interview line? They'll choose the Engineer over him, because the Engineer can back up his claims with a degree. He's not from the US where you can easily do with a Highschool degree, in the rest of the World, we need actual professional degrees.

Finishing a degree on whatever is NEVER a bad thing, its always a plus on whatever you're looking to do. And doesnt matter what other people tell you, risking is never a good thing, obviously the 1% that got lucky after risking will tell you that its worth it, but you gotta look at that 99% that faded away because they failed after risking everything.

Exciting...... and is the kind of game that makes me wish "Capital" T3 units namely to mean BBs had a secondary sort of "Supply" type with less needs from primary supply to be of a kind of cost that would limit a kinda hard cap on final numbers vs normal supply units but "cheap" by contrast in such a way to be able to see more of em done? Like say for each 4 to 10 or so "normal" supply you get, you gain 1 "premium" supply? that goes into T3 / T4 units so to allow an easier time getting BBs and maybe an Odin or Upgraded Thors as Terrans, and similarly as a thing for Zerg / Protoss as applies? Though said other races then to can field mostly any / all units kinds it seems, we never really see "mass carriers" or do we as casual uber-units? (to understand the concept; as very powerful per unit stock but kinda hard capped.) So, like a thing might take 5 supply if a stronger unit? a T4 taking like 8 to 10 normal and 1 or 2 to 4 "prem" supply, with for 200 normal / NS, one would have a max of 20 prem / PS... So you'd get like a max count could do of like 5 BBs...... or if say did 3, could micro the rest of their max PS for say Thor+ upgrades on selected units or as made I guess? (say, custom Thors with much more AA batteries at a cost of the shoulder guns? idk.) But still it'd be a fun idea I guess? So key "weak" T4 units for the cost to get namely like with Carriers or BBs type units can be made more good and easier to get some of but at a limit. (that does not cripple the core game.)
