2025 Starcraft player: Why did people go for high tech when worker rushes are the most efficient way of winning?
@andrew_kay5 жыл бұрын
I can't wait to see Alpha Star matches on all match ups, not only PvP
@allan7105 жыл бұрын
You can't win a game of Starcraft by making a better worker unit or unit composition than your opponent. You have to win the game by making more workers than your opponent. You can't get there by making a better worker unit or unit composition than your opponent. That's just how it is. I think we need to stop and think about what we are actually trying to achieve with Starcraft, in order to better understand why we are trying to make this unit or that unit or that tactic or that strategy. I think we should be playing more SC2, not just watching it. SC2 has the possibility to be more entertaining. The SC2 community is a huge part of the game that is overlooked by the larger SC2 scene, I think, in comparison to the competitive SC2 scene. Roaches with their tiny range forces the ghosts to snipe the roaches because they can't reach the broods. Clever.
@allan7105 жыл бұрын
I like to do this and get the roaches out of position before the ghosts do that and then move in with the ghost. When I do this, the roaches stay behind so it's not a surprise when the ghosts are sniped, it just means I can't hold any other part of the wave. The bunker, missile turret, and siege tank reminded me of Broodwar terran strats. They'd make lots of those little outposts and slow push across the map.
@unknow117125 жыл бұрын
there were no bunker, only mines, missle turrets, science vassel and siege tanks evrywhere, it was a PVT strategy , because protoss were too bad at drop (all theyr units are too big , and theyr trasport cost alot) making the only good strategy the judge mass recall (if there were not eneught mass missle turrets in the T base, or ice more units possibile during a push , while dodging the EMP .

Really like how the roaches prevent any hellion aggression. Seeing lots of pro zergs lose games off the back of losing drones to early hellions. The roach opening alone turns off any harass until the banshees come in. A better player also has the creep spread to slow down that tank pressure that comes in later.
