Reign of Chaos complete! I'm happy the campaign releases have been going smoothly and well-received so far. We're more than halfway through the project. It's crazy to think that we'll be done with the TFT campaigns in about a year from now. Jay brings up a good point that this projects is pretty "pure" in terms of faithfulness to the original. I'm always hesitant to change the design for a specific map because players expect a straighftoward remake, even when some missions could be a bit more interesting. So the focus has been mostly on quality of life changes and the user experience. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed watching this and that you're looking forward to the Sentinels campaign, which releases December this year!

Would you consider Re-Reforged a faithful recreation of original campaigns or just something that is rushed and done incorrectly without being faithful to the source material??

Always thought it was funny that thrall and the orcs just sat back waiting for the humans to fall. When I think it would have been more sensible for everyone to stand together. Maybe making it so that the orcs have to fight enemies (possibly off screen) would make it make more sense

I could of sworn like way back in Reign of Chaos' early days, the horde would sometimes send out a small army of like 6 units to Jaina's base. Like it got removed/bugged cause of a game patch, and hasn't been seen since.

It's even funnier the Undeads don't even bother to attack the Orc's base despite having a huge army of air units.

I can confirm, for the record, that yes, Archimonde would _always_ start making his way up toward the goal personally, in the last minute, minute and a half or so, even in the earliest versions of the map.

The main change is that in OG he'd deal like 50-100 damage or so, easy to stall out "on accident" just by having a bunch of buildings in the way. Here he deals hundreds per shot (the AoE probably hasn't been changed, but he SC2 engine does make units clump up a bit more too)

@@dragonstormx In the original he was OP in the sense of "let's crank him up to 11" - somewhat on par with permanent Metamorphosis and a full inventory of the strongest items. Here he's OP in the sense of "nope, you are NOT stopping this guy, even with cheese". (A couple of allied siege tanks could probably still do it)

@@Photoloss He was much stronger than a Demon Hunter with permanent metamorphosis even without that Divine Armor of his, though him possessing that was the main reason he was so hard to kill. If someone didn't exploit the AI bug, then it seemed like the best way to kill him was get rid of his base and construct an army of ancients to kill him.

Once I was trying to win in Jaina's base without losing Shandris and at the last second when Archimonde came he summoned four Doom Guards right on top of where she was, I nearly had a heart attack.

I sincerely doubt unit balance factored into the final mission being cut. Web should deal with chimeras just fine, worst case send waves of gargoyles and have a trigger order them to specifically target chimeras in vision range every few seconds. Considering how massive Archimonde is and the fact he dies in the cutscene I prefer the explanation that they couldn't do him justice and having 2 back-to-back "forced loss" holdouts would suck. Also, the undead Blackrock mission gives you frost wyrms. Then the following mission requires big, beefy units to snipe objectives deep inside enemy territory. To accomplish this you are given the abomination, a sluggish and not particularly impressive melee unit.

Hehe, 2 improvements right at the start - 1, shorter survive timer and 2, armor upgrade affects both (the elf and the druid) types a la orc armor upgrade. Furion has "immune to magic" on his card as well(not sure if it is a feature of the sc2 engine or not). Archimonde always attacks in the last 60sec, be it original, re-forged, or even here, nice that they kept it. Forgot to say last time, the felwood terrain looked way better than original/reforged did(prob due to engine or better texturing).

Oh man I fell off for a bit and missed most of this campaign. Gotta go back and make it up! I never especially liked this level. I didn't think the level did enough with the allied bases, and from a story perspective I felt it kinda silly that Medievh had the Night Elves, Horde, and Alliance Survivors do his job for him. Like I get that whole "show the world it doesn't need Guardians" thing... but could have he done a little bit more besides "Hey, stop killing each other folks?"

Hey! He created an entire dungeon for Jaina and Thrall to eventually meet in, after killing each other's minions a bunch of times, and then he appeared as a dream birb. What else do you expect him to do?

Hello, Jayborino. Can you help me with some tips? What graphics settings do you use and recommend for StarCraft II to maintain a stable FPS during large battles? I'm having trouble finding a good balance between graphics and performance. Any tips from veteran StarCraft 2 players are welcome too. :)

I hope that you will put all the episodes of warcraft 3 starcraft 2 in the playlist with the other episodes from episodes 1 until the very last episodes with the fall of archmonde I am sure that it will be very interesting and incredible I am waiting with continued impatience to do such a good job I am very happy to still subscribe to your channel

Iirc Bilzzard changed the mission with TFT. Afterwards at 15(human) and 30min(orc) of the 45 min timers Archimonde attacks the human or orc base. Also I believe 2 or so minutes before the final end he attacks the Night elf base. I am unsure how they later/earlier changed the mission. I only ever played TFT and reforged versions. Considering it looked so "easy" in your playthrough in contrast to Grants, I am wondering if that is your higher experience with WC3 or that you chose to deactivate upkeep. Also a bit more ramping up in the attack waves after the "expected" hold out time at a base could be added, like adding 2 or 3 units with each wave. Though this might be more creative license than the team wishes to use.

I'm pretty sure in the original version Archi comes at fixed times if the base is not destroyed yet, like 20 mn for Jaina and 40 mn for Thrall or something like that (on 45 total) so orcs HAVE to get involved, unlike here. Mines are OP with SC2 units being so clamped up !

0:54 Amazing! That was the worst voice acted line I heard in long time. Weird that it menaged to go through Blizzard quality control at that time. In polish version this sounds so much better.

Most of voice acting in Warcraft III was done by Blizzard staff, so it isn't surprising that it comes across as amateurish. In foreign releases, voice acting was usually done by professional VAs.

My favorite line is the paladin at the beginning of Digging Up the Dead. "Stop this madness before it's too late". Jay even commented on how wrong it sounds in one of his videos.
