Live gameplay of Dehaka from Gamescom in Germany. Dehaka was just announced last night. In this video I go over what the Dehaka commander is all about, as well as showcase the new co-op map in the game called “Malwarfare”.
Dehaka is a primal zerg pack leader from Zerus. He was among the last of the primal zerg pack leaders.
Dehaka is bipedal with a large left arm and a small right arm. The small right arm appears to be counterpart for a severed small left arm, and the large left arm appears to be counterpart for a severed large right arm.

Glevig is the replacement of Yagdra, the Primal Ash Worm Murvan is the replacement of Slivan, the Primal Swarm Host Dakrun is the replacement of Kraith, the Primal Mitoscarab. The 3 were original primal pack leaders, until Kerrigan killed them on Zerus (Heart Of The Swarm) Also, the ash worm appears as an objective to kill in the Swarm Host evolution mission, and the mitoscarab appears as the same, objective to kill, in the baneling evolution mission. All this from Heart of the Swarm ♥

Prinal zerg skin looks really cool. I half expected that hive to start entangling the minerals haha Oh by the way, the Primal Zerg are from the HOTS campaign, including all the primal pack leaders. You actually fought and killed all those pack leaders as Kerrigan. As far as I can tell, the pack leaders you command as Dehaka are the same *type* as the ones in the campaign, but have different names.

no they're different individuals, those few have just consumed the few individuals, all three of the Primal Zerg Leaders have absorbed the other three that you fight in the HOTS camp. and they have allied with Dehaka.

In the Trailer for Dehaka, they expalin that his 3 pack leaders are the 3 leaders that took over the 3 packs that kerrigan destroyed at the end of the zerus missions in HOTS :-)

Warcraft 3 systems: -Start with level 1, which allow hero unlock 1 of his basic abilities. -Each level upgrade allow hero upgrade 1 of his abilities. -When reach level 6, hero can unlock his heroic ability. -Max level is level 10, meaning the QWER are 3331 (This system is also remind me my first level 10 hero in Campaign, Prince Arthas, which may release at the same time in Hearthstone.)

I'm a tiny bit disappointed that Dehaka doesn't have his signature drag move, but all in all I love him and the primal Zerg. I really like the design choices! Very cool. The new map looks cool too. I'm excited for this new content.

I think it's the same like Terran actually, the structure didn't consume the Drone (I think) They should probably make Dehaka summon require more drone sacrifices though, 5 were meh for a lvl10 Dehaka lol

All the 3 Spezial abbilities are from Sc2 Heart of the swarm: The firewworm called yagdra,the swarmhost called slivan and the big thing called Kraith. That are the 3 rudel leader of the 3rd mission on the planet Zerus

Few things worth noting: 1. Dehaka's building is movable and has attacks (it looks really cool as a tanking unit) 2. Dehaka absorbs essences automatically (byebye pac-man Abathur) 3. Dehaka can be instantly respawned by feeding him drones 4. Dehaka can devour hybrids

The entire building and army rooster of Dehaka is basically a combination of undead and night elves from W3. The essence system is like the leveling system on heroes from warcraft 3, you even have 4 abilities.

Wow that play style for the new commander reminds me of Night Elf in Warcraft III. I've found 2 simmilarities. 1. The Primal Hive directly builds Extractors rather than a Drone does, just like the Tree of Life has Entangled Gold Mines. 2. Most buildings of Dehaka can uproot themselves so they are able to move or attack.

It looks like the primal drones don't evolve into their buildings like Swarm Zerg, but instead do some little dance to summon a giant Primal Zerg that acts as a structure, and in the process, when the structure Zerg unburrows from the soil, they eat the little primal drone, fulfilling the same game mechanic as Swarm Zerg of losing your worker to build a structure, but with a Primal Zerg flavored cosmetic effect.

It would be cool if the primal wardens were actually half-decent in combat, at least tanky enough to survive the general splash of combat and able to spawn small numbers of primals even while uprooted, you could basically have a fully mobile army base. But I guess they kinda ended up doing that with Han/Horner
