In this video I play my first games with Fenix, one of the Protoss commanders in StarCraft 2. Fenix is a powerful commander who leads the battles himself. His army is best around the Purifiers and he can swap on the fly between three different forms to adapt to different situations. Besides that, he can transfer strength to other Protoss units.
The purifiers have been unleashed upon the forces of Amon, and at their helm stands Fenix. Utilizing an array of destructive robotic bodies, and backed by a supporting crew of legendary protoss heroes, you can now rain death upon your enemies with some of the most honorable characters of protoss lore.

It would be interesting. Because Dekaha would also be about essence. But maybe instead of like abathur. His units would mutate. So like he himself and his units gain the abilities of the essence of other biological units they kill ? or something. There is some real potential for dakaha :D

RMJ1984 Was thinking something similar. Maybe you don't tech but instead gather the essence and use it to unlock idk, an ultralisk or better armor and weapons and maybe some abilities like frenzy or bouncy attack of mutas.

The adept gas cost is specifically from the LOTV campaign version balance which can also attack air as it is a choice for ranged unit other than the stalker or dragoon. It probably has the higher damage and lower fire rate from campaign too.

Be happy about it. Imagine how boring it is for Lowko to play standard brutal co-op missions with max level commanders if he can do the missions with level 1 commanders. Luckily there is still mutation missions, so there is still at least some challenge for him. That makes me wonder though. Maybe, just maybe, mostly just bad players play coop? :O

Pretty sure this is a bug that I found while playing Fenix yesterday, regarding the Dragoon shell's overcharge skill: Cast OC, then switch into a different shell will grant his dragoon permanent OC effects as long as you don't cast it again. Keep in mind that overcharge is meant to work for only 10 seconds. I had permanent cooldown reduction the whole game on the dragoon shell(energy still needed to spamcast though).

Wraxas Valerian was under Umojan protection at the time yes, but he was not any real commander of sorts. But he was never in charge of them, at best he could ask for help and hope for sympathy. Umoja has always been independent outsiders that has secretly opposed potential tyrants like the Confederacy and the Dominion. In the free Nova campaign comic they worked to undermine Valerian.

I remember doing a random on hard with Fenix and getting paired with a level 5 Kerrigan on the Oblivion Express. Fenix's units seem rather flimsy by Protoss standards. His static defenses also seem poor by Toss standards. It ended up being an absurdly close win, with us nearly losing three trains.

I usually start with solarite dragoon spending energy on clearing expo rocks if not needed for early waves to save minerals. And just wait until level 10 and 15. Them's the money levels. Plus, no matter what they say about how weak the scout's ground attack is, even on wiki, it absolutely makes mincemeat out of light armies; Mojo and upgraded scouts will always one-shot zerglings for one. And costing less than half the gas in brood war makes them even more enticing I must say.

You probably noticed if you watched the video, but these aren't your normal Adepts. The fact that they auto-cast shades that have no additional movement speed and cannot be jumped to but can attack enemies should be a big clue. The cost is also different.

Cool. You can use deploy Fenix on the battle field then switch suit deploy dragoon. Legionnaire it's sound like legionary same to me? Purifiers got new technology units warriors. Cool yeah you can play Karax with him in Co-op mission.

Justin Brown when you research at conclave A.I. that A.I. will go to the unit type(Talis-adept Kaldalis-zealot etc)If there is no that type of unit A.I. will wait when you build it.If unit with A.I. dies AI goes to the other unit that type.If you have last unit with AI with that unit type and it dies AI will wait before you build other unit of that type.

Yep so it's twice the zealot health, 1.5 times the damage for the price of slightly more than 1.5 times the minerals and 1.5 times the supply. Survivability wise that's good value. Not to mention the unit models being bigger, meaning less AoE damage.

If you mean in Multiplayer then the Stalkers took their role in the Gateways and most of the Dragoons in the lore got upgraded to Immortals. They are in the Legacy of the Void campaign thought.

When I first saw the Fenix Reveal, I thought it was an April Fool's joke. "In Starcraft, AoE is king because most units are small to medium sized. Protoss is the most powerful race largely because they have the most AoE and their AoE units are all amazing at being AoE units. So let's make a coop commander that can swap between a melee with all AoE abilities and a ranged with all AoE abilities so he never runs out of energy to use AoE abilities, and has an ability that lets him spam more AoE abilities because Protoss doesn't have enough AoE yet."
