In order to avoid f2 taking your units out of walls you can park a probe in the wall and try to pylon whenever you see something coming. It's easier to kill, but it gives you a little bit of protection for very cheap

It was the move to make more Archons. All Dark was doing was throwing Zerglings and Banelings at herO, who realized that Archons can quickly take that apart. There was never a shift to anything higher-tier, so the Archons just punched way about their weight in those final two games. Why make a Colossus? They are just garbage against Zerglings, who run right past their defenders and destroy them. The Colossus is a giant trap against anything but Marines.

9:14 crazy indecisive or just greedy with the banelings by Dark here. Game should end with all the zealots instantly dying with lings and banes to spare with the queens cleaning up the stalkers. Instead he doesn't pop them immediately and goes back and forth eventually does after losing most of the lings and 2 queens.

To be fair, that's due to SC2 having almost no comeback mechanics. Once you start losing, you don't stop so usually it's a waste of time to try to salvage a losing position because it is almost guaranteed to end with a loss no matter what.

Well since the math of them strategies is figured inside and out, and for the very best players, it is obvious when it's impossible to come back so no need to continue playing and waste time It's also a bit psychological that u cant do ur best if you know u'll fail anyway

At their level decisive advantages are usually pushed. The only time when a player blundered recently by surrendering too soon was serral Vs Ragnarok I think

@@joshuakim5240 You mean no comeback mechanics FOR PROTOSS. Zerg has quite a few comeback mechanics: Zergling run-bys, a good Fungal Growth by Infestors, Roach-Ravager (they punch WAY above their weight in small engagements), the Larva mechanic allowing for armies to be re-maxed almost immediately after a bad engagement. Protoss doesn't have that. They trade resilience for flexibility, which feels the opposite of what the race should be, but there it is. It's why Protoss players tend to tap out after one or two bad engagements: their army takes too long to re-max after heavy losses, and they don't have "stopgap units" like Roachs and Ravagers, since they trade numbers for efficiency. I'm not saying that this is a problem -- races need weaknesses, after all -- but it's the way things are and why Protoss tend to surrender quickly.
