When I was younger I thought they were cool and carriers but now I kind of think they are annoying. I really have to force myself to make them because I feel it's much more impressive and even fun to try and beat battle cruisers or even carriers with lesser units like vikings marines cyclone Thor's missile turrets etc but yeah your at a disadvantage if you don't use them or transition eventually. I also think it's fun to go all ground at times.

Ravens are the MVP. Loved the last engagement. It looks like Gumiho bated the infesters with battlecrusers then used the ravens to take them out of the fight. It was F-ing awesome.

@@asterpw That's true but don't EMP doesn't need to interrupt it - one or two EMPs and Infestors are dead supply for an eternity compared to Matrix' 11 seconds. But this game was clearly over 10 minutes before it was over so why not style on him with Ravens lol.

The interference matrices were amazing. I've never seen that ability used against Zerg.

I didn't even know you can use it against biological units, I always assumed it's only against mechanical since I always see it used against colossi, siege tanks, other ravens etc.

@@volanceleste actually interference matrixes can be also used against "psionic"(high templar, ghost, infestor, archon, etc.) as well as "mechanical"

Honestly was worried about that last engagement when it started, without Yamato or jump those BCs were sitting ducks against the infestors. Didn't even think to take into consideration the Ravens.

I learned that ravens are actually amazing vs terran mech bc they can disable all of the fighting units, especially thors and tanks. Ofc they're also good vs spellcasters because all of them are psionic, but few people even know interference matrix can be used vs psionic too. I think gumiho actually built the ravens only vs the infestors.

Terran used jumped + Yamato cannon to *deliberately* empty its energy. That way if they get mind controlled they can't Yamato themselves.

Terran used the jump to catch zerg off-guard and then queued up the yamatos because he knows that once all the BC are mind-controlled, they're dead. But neural parasite has a travel time, so if T queues the yamato on the broods or infestors, they'll go off no matter what and then the neurals will be broken.

Would there be value to a strategy... Build 4-5 BCs, then fly in and yamato a hatchery down then teleport home? Probably can't be killed in that time window and could do it repeatedly. If done early and often, could cripple an economy? Has that ever been done? Ive also wondered about sneaking corruptors into the dead space behind the main/nat and then morphing broods. Just like 3 of them...

Yeah, ghosts are missing to the army, that's why usually T goes for mech + ghost in recent games (just also because ghosts counter everything zerg has). Gumiho did quite a few errors this game though, so i feel like this was taxing his micro already, ghosts might've been too much.

Not all biological units. Terrans shouldn't make them more as most Terrans play Bio. Gumiho was not only playing mech but also styling for the last ten minutes lol.

Does anyone ever do Battlecruiser+ raven against zerg? Because they always seem to counter with corruptors, which are armored, and anti-armor missile should have great synergy with the rapid attack speed of current battlecruisers. I read something about it still losing to anything that had a mass of infestors, because battlecruisers are supply inefficient. But how reliable is that? Ditto for raven+ thor splash, that seems useful.
