I got matched up against him, and verified from match history full of custom games and his camera perspective in that game, was 100% Maru. He annihilated me with what I initially thought was a 2 base all in, but was actually pretty much just a push and nothing more. I was so honorably destroyed, and I loved it.

51:10 Storm does 80 dmg over 2.86s, at a max range of 9. EMP does 100 shield dmg instantly at a max range of 10. (on an even larger area than storm if Enhanced shockwave is researched.) Technically EMP is stronger. Against units that have a massive amount of sheild, it's absolutely destructive.

EMP is completely busted against Protoss and everyone who plays Protoss knows it. Psi Storm is actually quite well balanced as the opponent has to just stand there in order for it to enough damage to be scary. Also I don't know what Lowko is talking about, people talk about how EMP is overpowered all the time. The people who think it is balanced almost all play Terran or they don't play SCII or else just haven't played much Protoss. You can carpet bomb an area in Psi Storms ensuring that the enemy units will have to take most or even all of the 80 damage but then your HTs are out of energy and become worthless supply for the next 45 seconds or so. Sure you can merge them into Archons but since we're assuming you are in the middle of a fight, it's about a 25% chance that the merge will actually complete before your would-be Archon is toast. Plus Archon is the Ghost's prey of choice.

@@knivesoutcatchdamouse2137 Not only can storm actually kill units, but it also ends up killing terran units much quicker than most people think. This isn't because storm does a ton of damage as you can see with the comparison. A marine has only about 60 health and a maurader has 80, meaning both of the main terran units can be killed with only one storm within only 2.86 seconds. Make that two or more storms and your whole army gone in a second. Protoss units will often still remain with a large about of health despite an EMP, making them still viable and strong. Quite frankly, terran needs to use EMP to even have a chance at winning because of storm and because of the insane health of protoss units. The only reason people complain about it is that they are used to getting free wins as protoss against terrans who don't have the insane micro needed to control ghosts and an army, and can't deal with actually playing the game against someone who can. On top of that, arcons are incredibly strong against an army which had to just use it's EMP's on HT's. If the terran has enough ghosts to EMP both the HT's and the arcons then you are somehow getting out macroed by someone playing terran, which is genuinely a travesty with how easy it is to macro as protoss

EMP is op as heck. You could nerf it to half and it would still be used.

Been watching for a long time Lowko thanks for all the casts. Played sc2 at my parents home as a teenager, moved out, and there were many years I had no cpu set up and could only watch sc2. Finally someone pointed out the EMP is broken thanks Lowko, in just a second half of the health of all protoss units disappears not to mention all spell caster energy too. If not anything else atleast Blizzard should remove the "Enhanced shockwave".

EMP is necassary to beat protoss in every way. Storm can, with 80 damage, kill the entire terran army of marines (60 HP) and marauders (80 HP) in only 2.86 seconds. Protoss units often have as much if not more health and DPS than terran units after being EMP'd. It's literally impossible to beat protoss without it, and those who say it's broken are often just people that are used to getting free A-move wins against terrans who don't have the insane APM to micro ghosts and entire armies at the same time

That is the meta. Terran can preplan ghost movement for nuke right before fight, but the other guy will need to change his view 5 times during the fight looking for the nuke.

I as a terran die to blink stalkers of a strong opponent. Just don't live long enough to utilize nukes. Hence, nukes do nothing at the level of 95% of players.

Can someone please explain to me why some of the professional Protoss players (out of the 5 or 6 of them that exist, lol) like to make a Zealot first in PvT? Unupgraded Zealots are worthless against any of Terran's early units. Possible early Terran units: Reaper, Hellion, Marine, Marauder, Widow Mine. In an engagement against any of those, a Zealot would be lucky to get one swipe off before dying. It will get kited until its death against a Reaper or a Hellion. I get that they don't cost any gas, is that the sole reason? Seems like a waste of 100 minerals to me.

Ghost EMP requires follow-up response, storm and disruptor ball are 1-shot entire army enders. That's why EMP isn't talked about as much as storm and disruptors. (My thoughts anyway).

Storm is not an army ender, only in Platinum. Nobody complains about Disruptors as most of the time they hit nothing or clip a couple units.

Storm is not that great as it does damage over 3 seconds, HT are vulnerable as heck and is hard countered by EMP. But sure in lower leagues where terrans just A-move bio and stare at the screen it can be really strong. But then again so can EMP if they knew about its existence.

hero nailed all games, except the last one but if that was me i had basically just left in a rage; fck it is retarded how ridiculess OBVIOUSLY and completely BROKEN! ghost are... seriously at one point 4 emps did like 50+ supply dmg INSTANTLY with NO counter Even if it had been a magical robot who had 100000000 billion APM and perfect precision, once the emp is cast there is nothing you can do and its the easist to use and hardest of all abilities existing to dodge (which are not garanteed hits). and thast just icing on the top of how absolutely broken ghost are.. you could literally remove ALL abilities except one (your choice) and they would STILL be good, choosing any ability other than cloak and they would STILL be OP as Fck vs. a lot of unit combo's... its so fcking nuts they got snipe (counter ALL zerg ALL Bio P) and emp (absolutely DESTROY P and counter ALL Z spellcasters) AND!! FCKING NUKES!!! which with 1!! fcking click adds an extra 50-100 apm needed immediately at ANY point T chooses Or potentially instantly lose the game.... its so fcking dumb! and infestors got their instant fungal, like emp, removed 100% now so fcking slow stalkers blink out of it 90% of the time (unless the player is asleep or under master lvl) and its root got removed (making 90%+ of all Fungals absolutely pointless! it takes 4perfectly timed fungals and 11+ Seconds!!! to kill ONE ghost with fungals and he can move with is more than a FULL vertical screen in length in that time.... it takes a ghost 0 seconds at insane range to make the infestor useless and it takes 1.4 seconds to kill an infestor while cloaked, or viper, or anything but the most HP heavy T3! unit, then it takes a WHOLE 2.8 seconds to kill them TATADAAAA -.- from super safe distance... so fcking stupid, i cannot explain how much i hate how retard OP ghost ALWAYS was and after all the "HAHA INSTANT LOSE! setup got nerfed to shit from P and Z, but T kept ALL theirs except the rockets which was the ONLY one that could be countered by superior micro;" it just gone to absolute shit ... fcking noob play wins vs extremely superior outplay simply and ONLY on ghost being ridiculess OP again and again
