I love that Classic stays true to the precepts of the Khala. Section 2, paragraph 7 clearly states: "However often thy bases get raided by Dropships, ye shall not build Photon Cannons along its perimeter" It sounds like it could be a practical solution to a problem, but the Templar's role is to follow orders, not to question the wisdom of the Judicators.

There's one bit of micro, I don't know whether you mentioned it or some other commentator did, but it should be possible to extend the Zealot charge range by using the depot and then switching to the tanks behind them. That would be a change to basebuilding sim city norms. It might make all this putting depots scattered in front of tanks into a liability against run-bye's.

I suspect that because Protoss are generally stuck with managing a slow vulnerable blob of army, they may lean into a more general meta of just throwing out as many bowling balls as they can... at least in PvT and PvP.

Protoss is just too fragile. They can be super far ahead and lose to a single stim. Once EMP is available it doesn't matter what the situation is terran can just randomly win at any point.
