In map 5 trap does the noobbest move i've ever seen a pro player do to recover a lost map (even if i guess it was somehow genious from him because i can't even see another way to get back in the game) and fantasy just gifts him the game with an impressive set of errors... i can't really say the best won this time, but it was somehow nice to see even korean highest pro players can really feel the pressure ;)

********* SPOILER ALERT *************** If a Zerg would've commited that much gas investments and lost them for a few workers, they would've been dead. So, so dead. Protoss get away with these things too easily because of space control unit (mothership core and sentry) and splash damage (Colossus). I mean, it's not easy in the hands of a platinum player, but in the pro scene they definitely do their work. I still feel Fantasy gifted the last game to Trap, but it's not like Trap had to take extremely good engagements + die hard macro behind it to win it. He did however engage perfectly, and Fantasy was NOT ready for that fight at that moment. I don't feel like Trap was the better player even though he won.

Why don't the pro gamers ever drop mules to repair mech in the middle of the map?

dozentfl1 Because that would mean one mule less gathering minerals.

Carlibengarli But those vikings in red die to one storm and repairing them is only 25% of their price. One mule can repair about 3 badly damaged vikings. It seems way more efficient then mining minerals. There are also plenty of mules in the late game.

dozentfl1 pros never repair unless it's mass-repair. It's like banned in Korea. The cost of minerals to repair + mining time > producing another unit, or close enough that they don't bother. Dropping a mule to repair when it's not a game-deciding situation is even worse.

why is that every terran refuses to mix in hidden banshees or even raven turret drops for base rape while engaging with a main army? I understand that every resource counts, but at some point the enemy has to think twice about just deathball pushing. Theese are expert players and yet they dont even try to work in the edges, also sending flyers in a straight path instead of edges since its not Zerg where it well doesnt matter a whole lot. Someone enligthen me, because it seems without reason they do these seemingly needless misplays.

Rawsawn The point might be, if those likely unupgraded banshees get countered with feedback, it's not worth the investment. Splitting the army and attack with 1-2 medivacs with upgraded(!) bio, seems the way to go.

Rawsawn Banshees/Ravens are at the very end of the Terran tech tree, and take a long time to build. On top of the resource cost they are just not worth the time. If you build them, they have to be a HUGE part of your strategy, not just for harassing. Banshee/Raven are too weak and costly to justify.

Protoss' main army composition wins in a straight up fight vs both Terran and Zerg's main army compositions, where are you getting that it loses 90% of the time? It is widely known that Protoss is the easiest race to play, though it's not like it's a huge difference when compared with the other races. Just consider a typical Protoss composition vs a typical Terran composition. Protoss needs to A move, cast storm, and maybe pull back Colossi that are being targeted down. Terran needs to A move, stim, split units to prevent clumping, target fire Colossi with Vikings or a group of stimmed Marauders, kite back and stutter step when melee units get too close, and maybe cast EMP's if they are using Ghosts. That's over twice the actions and they all need to be done in the same amount of time or suddenly there are no units left to micro as they've all melted away. This is why Terran tries to drop and harass and attack expansions to avoid a straight on engagement because even with Ghosts it is extremely hard to come out ahead in a fight against a near equal supply army. If you take two top pro players of equal skill, one Protoss and one Terran, and play when balance is at it's highest, Terran I feel is usually going to be favored because you can squeeze more out of it's units with insane micromanagement but it will be done by early and mid game harass and smart engagements as fighting a Protoss deathball in the late game is nearly impossible for any Terran army composition. And for most players who aren't pro gamers, Protoss is certainly favored against Terran because it's high powered army and splash damage from storm and Colossi forces the opponent to need to react with excellent micromanagement, and most players who aren't pro gamers can't do that.
