I got surprised the most from the liberators, mostly because I had no idea what Liberators even do versus air, I don't recall them ever being used in any pro-games I've seen as an anti-air unit, they're always purely used for their air to ground control. Honestly I never even knew they had splash damage.
@larkermouse2 жыл бұрын
@@taragnor yeah, the reason you won't see that come up as much in pro games is probably that pros won't group together and clump up all their air units vs liberators, so it's not used much as a strategy. Pro level army control is usually too good for it to be effective.

Mutas v Archons didn't surprise me all that much because the Archons are ground units (meaning only the front 10 or so are ever gonna be engaged) whereas mutas not only have the ability to hit >1 unit at a time, but also can stack, which means that after a bit the back mutas will catch up and the mutas will hit a critical mass such that they can disable 1+ archons with each attack

Sometimes, I think certain units do not get enough abilities to make them anything like in the cinematics. For example, the Zealots looked like they have a 50% chance instakill bladeskills while in game they just have charge. And Archons, those things single out an Ultralisk and have chain lightning strikes, ingame the Ultralisk shreds them and they have only a single unit attack. Talk about anti-climatic. On other accounts, the Zerg fights reminded me of Artanis and the Templars fending of 18 billion Zerg ( or is it 1.8 billion ) in Shakuras. Purely epic.

You should try campaign and co-op versions of units, and also co-op mutators. One infamous matchup: 1 100-biomass Abathur Devourer vs. 1 Amon Devourer with Life Leech and full Avenger stacks. This one battle will probably take a while, since both units will heal themselves faster than they can do damage to each other.
