Sirens originally had wings (see Odysseus myth), so more like, singing murderous harpy. Mermaids were more of the fishy sort. But sometime in the past they merged into one. From horny sailors' perspective, if it was at least half woman, the other half makes no difference.

Siren of the Sewers just flows better, but you're 200 episodes in so you can't change it now. Roach/Hydra/Ling CAN work, but you need to manage the positioning of your units and treat the lings as fast-striking, fragile cavalry and use them to surround, flank, and pick off things like tanks and thors while they're busy engaging the roaches. Nobody does that, though, They just press F2 and run into planetary fortresses head first.

Btw, Sirens = Mermaids. In grece, the sirens were half women, half bird (Thats why they sings like birds). Later on, some fisherman's stories led to the word "Mermaid" wich was half woman, half Fish. And, fun fact, a danish song about mermaids led to the "Elves" known in movies like lord of the ring. And, yes, in french there's only one word for both sirens and Mermaids, wich is "Sirènes". Where i'm from, we don't even pronounce the "es" at the end and its sounds just like "Sirens", in english

Don’t worry PiG, in Spanish also there’s only one word to define that mythical creature, which is “Sirena”. This is similar to what happens in English with Tortoise and Turtle with the water and land version of the same animal, in Spanish is just “Tortuga” and life moves on.
