is it wrong of me to do this mission with the Infestor strategy? I stole pretty much every single one of the "elite waves" that attacked Jimmy and then casually tore down Mengsk's fortress with his own army, sure no zerg rush achievement, but very satisfying and resource friendly

ProfNekko I used infestors/queens plus creepers (swamhost). Creepers generate creeps automatically and use queen to plant tumors after digging forward.

***** yeah infestors were really useful in the HotS campaign cause the AI didn't focus fire them or had multiple Ravens flying about to remove them before they became a threat... It's effective... Just a little lazy is all

This gameplay was like... - Expansions always crumbling due to poor attention at their defence. - Not enough Hydralisks. - All the units are moved in the same "box", never bottering in doing formations. - Sheer numbers is the key.

I did this mission first attempt on normal didn’t lose any Hyperion and stuff that must survive I was curious if strategy hydras and Ultralisks were okay too with aberrations

For this mission, you can survive with just Impaler,Infestor and Raptorling (Zergling re-constituted for Kerrigan). I send 12 Infestor for Jim to steal any hard-hitter unit come his way and put my catch on his defense,my base guarded with 20+ Impaler (10 surronding base,12 scattered for scout and ambusher) and 12 infestor for Thor,Siege Tanks,or Battle Cruisers.Kerrigan...well,the 1woman army mop the map with flood of raptor and Primal Drop Pods,spam her Jumpy-Baneling Summon and win

Funni fact: this stage has almost no mobile detectors. Lurkers pretty much render everything Mengsk throws at you redundant. You just need a few mutalisks to intercept banshees.

Am I the only one wondering why primal Kerrigan is affected by Xel'naga stone, but primal zergs don't? I thought most of zerg stuff was wiped out during end of the first mission of wings of liberty.

This mission wasn't even close to be as epic as I expected to be. The last missions of WoL and LotV were way more spectacular! HotS was a good campaign, but not a 10 out of 10 like the others two. Just my opinion!

in my opinion Lotv was the weakest. not only was it the easiest, but the protoss were kinda "meh". Aside from Alarak (and vorazun kinda) pretty much everyone was boring.

thx, you are right but since i realised that ling/ultra only get the job done i saw no need for adding other units. A shame that blizzard didnt force you build more different units to reach the last missions goal. Simply mass army and overrun enemy, overall i found this too easy.

It’s a required part of the mission and quite possibly the strongest attack wave, of COURSE this was a turning point.

Pretty good play, however, you could have played it better with better mixed unit composition. You massed Lings, banes and Ultras with a few hydras in there as well. I mean it got the job done but you could have used Infestors and Mutas to better combat their units. I still think you're a great player but the army units are available to effectively counter what they throw at you if you utilise it. Good job anyways! Good video too
