But since he's confined to Blizzard games, firstly we need him as a commander in that co-op mode for SC2, and then we need him in Heroes of the Storm. *Especially* in Heroes of the Storm... I want him to laugh at how pathetic Diablo is compared to who he used to worship.

Fosphor I'm pretty sure Stukov, Horner and Karax were confirmed commanders incoming. If they need two more to make it an even 4 for each to get Alarak in there as well, they could always use Dehaka for the Zerg, and while Valarian might be the obvious choice for Terran, I kinda wanna see Mira Han... Get some mercs and stuff in there. I mean I know she's not really any sort of major character, but she does somewhat amuse me.

Zeratul might scald Alarak for failing to see the bigger picture and then say something like "we must not let our feelings get in the way of stopping Amon. I'm probably the only one who thinks the Zealot charging Alarak is Bob the Ragelot (a Carbot character, and like his name implies, he's an angry zealot that charges into combat). And just like usual Carbot fare, "Bob" takes the brunt of the damage again.

He literally could kill her any time he wanted. But he indeed did not come as her enemy. Her trap meant nothing to him. He could have stabbed her but he just pushed her away. He could have killed the zealot. I think only Artanis was powerful enough to kill him.

A lot of people here seem to like to throw out the word "evil" when describing Alarak & the Tal'darim, but I think your bias is showing. Modern cultures tend to place the collective good above that of the individual and thus the narrative of morality becomes tilted to Kantian style ethics. But that is far from the only philosophy out there, nor does everyone so willingly accept such irrationality. I was actually quite pleased to see a character in Starcraft I could admire for their will to power, rather then becoming progressively more irritated by the aforementioned collective argument being trumpeted by every, bloody, character.

It's really such a great contrast that in gameplay DTs are so badass and deal such huge damage, but in scenario, their fighting capabilities are so low after Zeratul was dead. Also, Vorazun is perhaps the weakest heroic unit in the LotV campaign. I missed Zeratul's 1000 damage in BW campaign.

Without a doubt, he is the most OP hero in StarCraft. I can mop whole armies and not die since each kill replenishes HP and shield points. All I have to do is ignore the fact he's a copy paste design of a Sith Lord from the Star Wars universe and everything is OK.

It has nothing to do with Vorazun. Alarak is simply absurdly powerful, and rightly so. He's the top of a society built on killing each other to rise in rank. Add to that he pops Terrazine like candy and in a mission to disable batteries on Aiur he is stuck in front of the most secure one and literally Kamehamehas his way through the wall, destroying the thing in the process as well.

They cut it to ensure that the Khalai will never be able to sense their presence, think of Khalai as a Social Network, and nerve cords as Antenna, to ensure that they will not be found out by Judicators, they cut off their nerve cords which is akin to quit using Internet. And later on it probably became their traditions that all dark templars followed.

The Tal'darim are not connected to the Khala due to their use of terrazine... well, at least *these* Tal'darim. The ones in the Dark Templar novels use the not-so-different Sundrop that is explicitly stated to cut a Protoss off from the Khala.

I'd say Artanis wins. He mastered both the traditional Templar arts and the Nerazim's Shadow Walk... he is literally one of the most powerful Protoss to have ever lived along with Tassadar and Zeratul. Alarak is nearly as strong as he is, though. That's how badass the guy is. Now, Zeratul vs Alarak... that's one match I would like to see.

Cliche? You meant classic I suppose. In recent years there are 0 characters like him in other games. Alarak is straightup awesome and original in its own right. Brutal honest in a fun way. He doesn't have a sad background to be evil. He is evil because he enjoys it. Evil and dark humor, fun but serious at the same time type of villians are always good, that's a theme quite forgetten in recent years and being a protoss with that characteristics just doesn't fit, which makes him quite interesting too. Combine these with a masterpiece voice acting there you have a legend like Alarak.

Her every move is efficient, she was protecting the others as much as she was attacking in an actual all out battle there's no telling who would win. As a unit she's the only protoss hero capable of slaughtering entire zerg armies in seconds.
