I am sorry but witcher ciri is romantic ending while empress ciri is realistic ending. As you can see you only have to 2 diffirent choice from witcher ending. First you have to listen Emhyr and second you shouldnt destroy avalach's lab. Maybe destroying lab fits their characters but not hearing and running away from others opinions arent characteristic of neither Geralt or Ciri. And worst of all Emhyr was right. You can do so much more good as an Empress than a witcher. Ciri saw it with her eyes in whole contenent. Poverty, ignorance, hatred spread to all places and only a wise Queen with a lot of experience about the real world can stop it. I wonder how would they tie up with witcher 4, since they said all endings will be canon.

I am trying to decode of their is something here for Witcher4. Perhaps they changed the endings to make sure of Ciri in next saga..that boy could have been though main protagonist of next saga but we would have hated it because Ciri would be dead then. Avalach could be the key somehow to kickoff next saga. Whatever..I hope another conjunction happens because there won't be a lots of exotic monsters otherwise.

It always seemed to me that there were two different Geralts in this game; 'Normal Geralt' who tries his best and usually succeeds in doing good and 'Shit-Bag Geralt' who lies and fails his quests while still trying to soak the locals for a quick payday. Example: When he tells that guy with the basement Golem that he is from the school of the Griffin; this is a straight-up LIE. We the players, as well as Geralt, know this beyond any doubt. From a NARRATIVE perspective, there is absolutely no reason for him to do this. And when he basically bungles the quest with the hermit, he tells her to draw a line of salt, knowing full well that it won't work, because he is now playing Shit-Bag Geralt. It makes me feel that it is more of a writing-yourself-out-of-a-hole situation than anything else, in order to give the player some sort of 'choice' if the worst happens.

An interesting thing for me was that Selendis only severed her nerve cords after Artanis asks her to 'believe.' At the start of the campaign when Zeratul briefly interrupted the invasion of Aiur, warning of the 'incoming darkness,' he pleads to Artanis he 'must believe' him, even after Selendis disparages him, blaming him for the fall of Aiur. I like to think that the two are connected. Selendis and the protoss still connected to the Khala who experienced this darkness recalled that despite Zeratul's past deeds, had tried to help them avoid Amon possessing them. So when Artanis asked them to believe, given his higher status backed by the consequence of not doing so even though they were warned by Zeratul, they did so and severed their nerve cords. Selendis was first to do so, acknowledging that she as an executor, second to Artanis, had to set an example. Another thing to note is that when Artanis offers his hand to help her up, she grips Zeratul's psi blade gauntlet instead, acknowledging she was wrong when Zeratul tried to warn them.

Re-upload of my comment from 15. December 2024, because it somehow disappeared: So, finally getting to finish my book comment, with my thoughts, to your movie video. Man what a wonderful time for the Witcher… a new very promising sounding book, a nearly 3 hour long xLetalis video and the Witcher 4 reveal trailer. I am actually happy about having some of the original main story quests as side quest, because it gives the game more structure. And I think it fits the theme of the season of storms book where I felt like Geralt was running around between different questlines theat are conected to each other but still not one and the same. 24:10 So far I’m happy about most of the changes they made. I think the overall story and plot is told better the way it is then I was initially planned and not every part of the plot have to be a main story quest. „Side quest“ doesn’t have to mean „unimportant or irrelevant for the overall plot“ after all. But I would have loved to see Iorweth and maybe even Yaevinn, from The Witcher 1, back in the game. Even though it is not that bad that they are missing because they were so weakened by the loss in The Witcher 2 that the Scoia'tael aren’t really in the state of taking part in such a big war anymore. BUT I have a few ideas how Iorweth could have improve the plot and even the endings of the game: First I don’t think that Iorweth and Roche should team up initially, but Geralt should have to convince them to work together, maybe even based on his relationship and his decisions regarding them in the second game or even considering decisions regarding the Scoia'tael in the first game. Roche could do what he does, in the final version of the game, but with a little more content. And Iorweth could be around Novigrad for another reason, but with a similar goal or with a goal that could be achieved in the same way as Roche’s goal. And Geralt could influence them both towards working together until their quest lines merge. From then on Iorweth could either be part of the conspiracy against Radovid or he could be a secret ally of Roche and an ace in his sleeve against Dijkstra, so he could help save Roche and Ves in case of Dijkstra’s betrayal. And that could lead to two different additional endings, according to the war. If Geralt fails to convince them to team up, but helps them against Dijkstra: Roche could try to establish a new ruler in the north but would fail and lose the war against Nilfgaard, while Iorweth leaves him hanging or even fighting him again. If Geralt ignores Iorweth at all we could get the current Nilfgaard wins the war ending. And if Geralt manages to convince Roche and Iorweth to form an alliance and help them when Dijkstra betrays them, they could manage to establish a new temporary ruler for the north, maybe Adda if she is still alive, and then attack vulnerable parts of the Nilfgaardian army, through the informations of Thaler’s spy network, with Scoia'tael guerilla tactics and tactical Blue Stipes attacks. Or they could even assassinate Emhyr during the battle of Skellige and end the war this way. There could be several ways to make a good ending of the war for the north, without letting all of Geralt’s friends die in the process. But since happy endings are rare in The Witcher, it should be difficult to achieve, maybe even by making it necessary to already make certain decisions in The Witcher 2 or maybe even in the first game to create the foundation for succeeding in this quest line in the third game. 26:35 That Dudu charade would have been funny. 38:20 I am very glad they changed that. I think it wouldn’t fit Yennefers character if she would want Ciri to become empress, because she would have to give up Geralt and herself as her family and that’s the opposite of all she ever wanted. Yes you are totally right about the Becca thing. 46:36 That Thrall part sounds ridiculous, especially Yen’s role in it. Overall every romance scene you mentioned so far, that is not Yen or Triss, reminds me of the Witcher 1 romance system which is funny with the cards and so, but simply much overloaded even for Geralt’s conditions. 48:40 That sounds so bad. 1:03:30 That all doesn’t make the slightest sense to me, it just feels horribly wrong. 1:06:00 I prefer the Djinn quest and I don’t understand it like there was a spell if you decide to end the romance. The change of feelings doesn’t imply a spell there, even if Geralt says „magic is gone“ or so, especially since Yennefer feels the same way no matter what Geralt says. That makes it clear for me that there never was a spell even more so if you chose to end the romance, because if nothing changes if you do not end the romance, you can’t really know if there ever was a spell or not. 1:38:00 The Barons ark sounds much less meaningful to me, then the version we got eventually. But maybe I didn’t got it right. 2:00:00 That idea is interesting but I still don’t like it. It makes it seam like the Wild Hunt is evil without guilt because they eat these evil fruits and not because of their history. And for Geralt they could have done a similar thing with Gaunter’s mark. 2:05:00 The new house looks really cool and reminds of the fairytale of Hänsel & Gretel, with all that sweets. 2:05:35 That might sound sad but I would actually like that Roche would leave her for being a spy, because being a patriot is a major and important part of his personality, so I think it would suit him. 2:39:00 I think that would be a poor version of the empress ending. Especially „letting fate decide“ anything is basically the opposite of one of the most important elements of the Witcher story, where it needs something more than just fate. And all of that ending ideas are way too bitter for me. It would feel like all the effort is ruined no matter how hard you try to be good. Overall, despite some interesting ideas in that skript, I most definitely prefer the current version of the game. Except for the inclusion of Iorweth, I dislike most things in that skript, that differs from the final version of the game. Thank you for making this video. Great work on the visuals, it helps imagine a story that hasn’t been visualised. I hope my comment doesn’t read too negative (if anyone even reads it entirely xD). And I hope you do well.

1:06:00 The part of the raid here lacks the hook, which is described in the document. Becca knows the location of a Nilfgardian based where the loot the army has gathered is supposed to be loaded and shipped. Becca proposes this idea because to show that she's honorable enough to lead Skellige. Skellige are pirates and raiders, a good loot is worth a lot and who leads a raid gains respect and honour. 1:38:00 The Baron in this first version was more Bloody Baron than father. With the 2013 revision of the story, CDPR already shifted to tell the tale of a broken father, getting closer to the version we know today. 2:00:00 The Fruit of Evil gives the soldiers of the Hunt, and Imlerith, more power. But this doesn't inform their motivations.

On my first playtrough (wich I never finished) I chose Yen, assuming she was Geralt's wife or something like that. Boy was I wrong! Triss was a kindhearted, supportive, helpful and all in all a great girlfriend for Geralt. Yen debuted in the third game of the series and didn't even try to pretend to be a decent person. I can see the two decade long realationship made both of them had a soft spot for one another, but for me, the iconic moment where they unmade that certain wish was like a curse was from lifted from Geralt. Finally free from Yen and her bullshit to be with Triss.
@sonobitchesКүн бұрын
I feel like Daphne's story is way more interesting and tragic with the assumption that the curse simply happened because of her deep sadness and longing for the return of her lover, rather than someone completely unrelated to her cursing her out of ill will.

Ngl I had the Ciri as Witcher ending and i chose Roche to side with because of us going way back and favors being granted. In the end i felt that i did not win. Yes Ciri as a witcher would finally rid her of being searched by her father, but the Northern Kingdoms finally occupied under Nilfgaard seemed off to me since a lot died under their rule. Imo i dont think any of those human characters never really cared about Geralt; it’s just all about getting him to side with them for their advantage. So if we think objectively Dijkstra is the wiser choice and it benefits more for everyone.
