yeah agreed. controlling this army for the zerg is insanely difficult. one emp and all your infestors worthless. 4-5 snipes and half of the broods are dead. on the other hand 5 thors can counter 10 broods seemingly and terran can actually split thor ghost army (and zerg cannot really). and ghosts survive like 5 consecutive fungals and do not die. amazing demonstration of skill by Dark

I wonder if Byun's passive approach is because Dark was so intent on being aggressive with a high supply count of roach ravager. Either shellshocked Byun or made it seem like all Byun needed to do was turtle until Dark ran out. But Dark never did, it wasn't an all-in, and I guess the 1-1 timing attack did enough damage to give him breathing room to set up for the longer haul

i like Byun forgoing Siege Tanks later on. Dark seems to turn em around vs allied units with the splash they are distributing on the Broodlings (massive friendly fire).

Missile upgrades falling off? What? Roach Ravager into Hydra Lurker Viper has been a staple Zerg strategy for a long time now. Admittedly not the most common one recently but still a very viable strategy that's been used time and time again... Especially now with the buff to hydras this strategy should only be stronger, not weaker.

Besides allowing Dark to drone up, Byun's early game expansion also allowed Dark to rapidly extend the creep coverage, which really helped shut down ByuN's first timing attack.

One thing the terran might have considered is just mass mule dropping the zerg expos in the late game. Even if the minerals don't make it back, it still takes them away from zerg.

This game came down to queens still being the most OP and versatile unit in the game. That last battle was won by queens. 50 minutes in to the game, units that were made at the very start of the game are still super useful - Super useful early game - Super useful mid game - Super useful late game - Instaheal - Slow continuous heal - Very high range (If not as high as ever) - Quite tanky overall - Cheap - Low supply cost I never understood how this unit has barely ever been nerfed.

Dark is hands down my favorite player to watch. I don't think anyone else does strategy, inventiveness, and execution as well as he does at the highest level. Byun is looking very dangerous as well having seemed to knock it up a notch in the past month or two and it will be a great IEM to watch!

I rarely watch SC2 anymore, but when I do its Lowko. Love these drawn out matches but seems that always Zerg come out on top in these cases. I wonder if most of comment section are Zerg fans here because for me it seemed like Terran was barely holding in game for quite a while and it was impressive to see the player to hold on as long as he did. For me it seems like no race has answer for Zerg late game AOE and splash effects when Zerg army is controlled by best Zerg players. I wonder if it would make a huge difference if Nukes would still land even if ghost is destroyed after initial aiming to time. In flight time still leaves plenty of time for enemy to evacuate, but if you could guarantee a hit more easily it would increase area control effect of the Nuke.

Woo! Classic intro! I expected a BO3 going into this one... Also, zerg spellcasters are still too strong. Fungal Growth does WAY too much in one spell: damage, slow, reveal. Neural Parasite is still too powerful in large engagements and should require the Infestor to get closer; they are still way too safe. At very high levels of play, late-game Terran is lackluster at best. It really lacks pushing power into things like Infestor + Brood Lord and Carriers + Immortals.

my favorite games are either something stupid, like losing to cannon / spine crawler rush, or super long games where everything gets mined out and armies destroyed, so both players have to go back to tier 1/1.5 units. those are great
