Starcraft 2 WINGS OF LIBERTY Campaign - Outbreak - BRUTAL Guide - All Achievements! SC2 WOL Colonist 2.
Outbreak - Mission on BRUTAL Difficulty with all Achievements.
Outbreak: Complete all mission objectives in the "Outbreak" mission. 28 Minutes Later: Complete the "Outbreak" mission on Normal difficulty before the 5th night.
Army of Darkness: Destroy 15 Infested structures at nighttime in the "Outbreak" mission on Hard difficulty.
Destroy all 144 Infested Structures.
Kill the two Infestors - 2 Zerg research points.

In my opinion, if you can try get the perdition turret research, normally at the first night, 2 perdition turrets in each side will be more than enough with no repairing necessary. Second night, you'd want an extra perdition turret and some repairing on standby due to infested marines. Third night, the south barricade will be busted and abberations will spawn, I recommend 5 perdition turrets and 5-6 SCVs in each side. Just focus your resources on Reapers, they can kill buildings much faster than Hellions at the cost of barely any speed.

Not that you're not already finished or anything, but when do you start showing what upgrades you have and such? I can tell some of them just by looking but I'd like to know more.

This mission is probably twice as hard if you don't have reapers unlocked

Yeah, it's primarily designed to show off the flamethrower dunebuggies. Reapers make it easy mode, even on brutal.

How can unlock the reapers for this mission??? I can't chose them but I unlocked them on a later mission. Thanks!

Left this mission for later, you can even left it to do it just before travel to Char.

What the other guy said plus you can run siege tanks, all of which reduces brutal difficulty to casual. It's also very satisfying. It must be in campaign mode and it can only be done once per campaign.

Trying brutal without upgrades is almost impossible for this mission. Brutal mode will test your strategy throughout the entire game

I took stoopid bunker health instead of the turret...god damn

Bunker health is way better. Turret is only good in some early campains. Make sure to get those mercenaries into the bunkers.

Bunker turret is extremely nice for when you desperately need extra firepower, but their actual firepower is puny, so unless you truly cannot spare an extra 1-2 marines per bunker, bunker health upgrade is usually better. Personally i still tend to play with the turret, as it's a convenient way of putting up quick roadblocks/outposts and if you build enough bunkers with them, they do make a serious difference. Especially with Perdition turrets in front of them.

*lol* You actually allowed them to breach your entrance defences the FIRST night? When it's still easy? *lol* Make that BOTH northern entrances! You were sooo lucky you didn't get crushed there. Seriously, a single bunker at each entrance is NEVER enough. And you need to place them so that the stream of infested gets hit by flamer fire from 2 bunkers BEFORE they reach either bunker. Most maps, placing of bunkers doesn't matter that much, but on this one, put them wrong and you might as well not have it at all. When you rebuilt, the uppermost bunker on the NE is mostly out of range, while the eastern bunker on the NW entrance starts firing late. "none of that stuff matters" Seriously? You just let them destroy a lot of your EXPENSIVE buildings? Not to mention that they breached your NW entrance again. Even after you've destroyed so many infested buildings. You could have just placed the bunkers better, along with 2-3 bunkers in the south and then made sure to have them manned and you would never have had any entrance breached. What if you did some accidental misclick with your army and it got wiped out or heavily damaged? Then your base would have fallen easily. Try playing this map without reapers. And you're only allowed to attack outside of base during night. Now THAT is a fun challenge. Or just do not attack outside of base, and see how long you can survive. Or just wait 10 or so nights before you're allowed to go outside.
