Reminder: If you want to rebalance Terran MMM bioball, no NOT nerf marines or mauraders - nerf the medivacs! The medivacs are what enable all the abusive untouchable bio micro, as well as countering all but one of the ostentiable counters to marines. The boots on the ground aren't broken, it's the instant pickup from any bad fight and constant healing that's broken

But there's no counter to medivacs picking up marines the moment before the zealots/lings actually arrive - no counterplay esp with medivac boost!

I haven't played SC in a decade but the medivac drops do seem broken as a viewer. The terran flies around the zerg side forcing them to pull drones and rotate their army between bases, keeping them contained and taking small engagements where they can instantly pick up once the cost effectiveness of the trade reaches its peak. Just thinking about trying to deal with that makes my brain hurt.

It's not even just limiting Serrals economy, its applying so much pressure he can't afford to tech up, he can't get to those vipers and infestors that make him the best player ever. The reason Clem is so dominant is two very very unfortunate facts of SC2, the earlier in the game you're proficient at means the less you have to worry about anything else: (Think Cheeses, cannon rushes, timings and all ins) And micro gets more value out of the same units, especially early on (Reaper micro, stutterstep, pull back) His micro is so extreme (with moderate macro) that nobody can ever ever make it to the late game and he doesn't have to even worry about anything else, especially against Serral or Zergs It's to such an extreme that nobody else can physically contest him

And of course the fact that terran doesn't really have to worry about taking any sort of counter damage at mid game due to mules. So basically if you strategically screw up while microing you will be saved by mules.

This is not a "Terran is OP against Zerg" situation. Serral has shown REPEATEDLY that it is absolutely dominant against every other Terran and Protoss player, including Maru, Oliveria, Byun, etc. This is purely a case of Clem being that much faster and that much more efficient with his units. Reynor going 50/50 with Clem on the regular right now is a prime example of this. Reynor has the speed and playstyle to keep up with Clem, and Clem has a much harder time breaking him the way he did with Serral during the World Cup. Even though Reynor, as damn good and fast as he is, is NOT better than Serral. Quit coping about "Terran OPPPPPPPP". MULEs are not a full proof backstop to Terran economy and if you remove them, Terran cannot keep up the efficiency they have. They simply cannot. It's the same reason why Ghosts have to be as good as they are in the late game. People love to scream Ghosts, but Infestors and Vipers, in Serral and Dark's hands, are unbeatable by classic Mech and Bio balls. Ghosts are the only counter to Viper/Infestor.

To me there is two problems with balance. One is that medivacs I think need some sort of load/unload delay because escaping instantly for basically a tier 1 unit is honestly nuts compared to how susceptible a nydus is and that's late game tech. The other is that I think zerg early anti-air is crap. Maybe queen damage should be increased a little or spore launchers fire is increased to their detection range. Clem I think pretty much outplayed Serral this match, but man, it's not like Serral could do much imo. I always thought Zerg were supposed to be the best early game rushers etc, but they really not are they? Seems like everyone else does that rushing better.

I do think it'd be fine if zerg got a slight buff to early game anti-air. Maybe extend spore crawler range to more consistently deal with banshees. As they are, the spores don't do much kore than just spot the banshees when cloaked.

You guys underestimating how much Terran drops are required to be good to keep the Zerg economy from exploding too quickly. Remember Protoss and Terran HAVE to limit Zerg econ. Neither race can even remotely keep up with Zerg if you can't get the damage done. It's why we always watch TvZ and PvZ from the non-Zerg perspective. It's not about what the Zerg is doing at home and on the field. It's about what the T or P is doing to limit them.
