I'm fine with the speeding up during the early game. I'll sit through it either way. I'm not bored by normal speed standard opens, nor am I turned off by hastening through openings we've all seen literally thousands of times. Good commentary, keep it up, Winter.

Yes it’s good to at least see the start of the match When I was playing a few years ago I would want to see it at normal speed, learning the openings and timings and such, and it’s still nice to see all that, but sped up is understandable

Man, that last game serral was on fire again. Poor showtime did very well for that matchup, quite honestly, he did way worse in the past, but the amount of multi-tasking and constant attacks from serral... And that's not even in his past prime, I hope we'll get there soon again. Man, I am such a serral fanboy :O

@@HenriqueRJchiki Balance is not the same at all levels of play. At the masters/low-mid GM level? Yes, Protoss is strong atm (PvZ in particular is Protoss favored at that level based on win rates). That's why it's winning a lot of minor tournaments and has high GM representation. On the flipside, at the very top - EG: among the top 8 or so of each race, Protoss is the worst performing race. At the bronze - gold level, PvZ is the worst match up for Protoss/best match up for Zerg. Any talk of balance needs to take level of play into account - at the level of Serral and Showtime, who make that top 8 of their respective races, Zerg is the better performing race; of course, Serral is almost certainly the stronger player between the two overall, and off-racing could drop their level of play to a point where Protoss is the better performing of the two regardless.

honestly I feel like this should be the new meta. at least for some tournaments a requirement that all players play random all the time... it would be much more interesting for the fans, and on top of that it would guarantee an unbiased panel and everything...
