StarCraft Alpha Soundtrack

One of the original soundtrack concepts for StarCraft 1, by Glenn Stafford. Sounds a lot like Warcraft 2's soundtrack, doesn't it?

The part around 0:50 was reused for a Protoss theme, but it still sounds too much like Warcraft. I'm glad they went back to the drawing board.

This definitely carries the energy of them wanting to be free of the medieval fantasy shackles of Warcraft and to just play around with ideas beyond, while still utilizing the tools they had.

Hearing the samples that made it into the final game with some very and I mean Very warcraft2-esque DOOTdeDOOT style music is an experience. Thanks for sharing

Somebody please tell Glenn Stafford to take the part at 4:08 and just make it longer. That is liquid gold to my ears, sounds like a long lost WarCraft 2 song for the Alliance that I want to hear the end of. I would really like for the midi or a higher quality version of this song to get released sometime in the future.

Strange, I feel like this is a Mix of a Warcraft II, Jet Force Gemini and the Protoss Themes from StarCraft. It sounds like the audo was recorded from an N64. Very Interesting!

If there's one big shame about this, it's that we never got a wham moment where the Warcraft world of Azeroth is actually a planet near to the Koprulu sector, and even moreso in case the world of Diablo is interestingly close by.
