[StarCraft] How To: Terran vs Zerg Build Order

This Build Order gives you a great start against a Zerg player. It lets you get a steady economy going while you are producing marines. However, this build order is just a start. You'll have to improvise since you won't win after the first attack. But don't worry, you'll have the economy to do pretty much anything needed.
Build Order:
Always produce marines and SCVs (with an exception at 37-46, no SCV production there)
9/10 Supply Depot
10/10 Barracks
15/18 Supply Depot
20/26 Command Center
23/26 Supply Depot
29/34 Three Barracks
35/44 Refinery
37/44 Supply Depot
38/44 Academy
44/52 Supply Depot, continue making Supply Depots with this SCV
52/60 Research Stim, produce 4 Medics and get "ready to roll out!"

I have a friend that, every time ppl play like this, he builds a hatchery inside their main and builds sunkens and lings... because he sneaks a drone in as ppl dont early scout their own main base He does something like 6 scout and stops building drones. If not spotted, he will never need to build the overlord btw I not gonna lie, this got me a few times... now I park a SCV at my ramp at 8 and fuck that shit. But ppl on the battlenet.... they always fall to that because theiy're too greedy to waste a worker to scout for such cheese

​@@maxramos7394 I don't play MP but against AI I lean towards building a barracks ASAP around the first supply depot if not earlier. As soon as I have SCV overhead. I also like to try to find bunker vantage points that I can supplement with SAMs and siege tanks, based on the terrain and foes. The AI can certainly train you against rush waves. It'll throw a zergling rush mob, then hydras, then mutalisks so as Protoss or Terran it'll sh!t test your defenses in succession. At least this is also stuff I gleam from some campaigns too. If it sees your lacking it might focus one way, or taking too long and worse waves appear. In a triple map I had Protoss rush me first actually with six or eight Zealots. Narrowly survived that ambush by lifting off a building they half chased.

The only thing you can do is to hope that the zerg doesn't lnow exactly where you are or play in a very big map. Other than that you are toasted. Zerg is really fast. 1 on 1 on a small map terran nor protos don't stand a chance against a 6 zergling rush at about 2 mins. Once 6 zerglings are attacking you you can expect 2 zergling every after about 30 seconds.

It depends on what Zerg is doing. If you see early pool (before hatchery) you should build a bunker. If u see lair before third hatchery, go e bay before adding 3 more rax (or if you're confident enough that it would be 2 hatch muta you can build up to 5 rax and counter mutas - with 5 rax you gain full map control. why? Because you have much more mm than Zerg has mutas and you can attack his natural with your troops while defending your base with new produced mm, if Zerg went for base trade). BTW this is the best build for Terran against Zerg, because you have good economy to chatch up with Zerg. And also you should keep in mind, that your first goal is to gain map control in the begining of the mid game - to delay Zerg's third exp as long as you can. The later he gets third gas, the later defilers will appear.

Doesn't work on Binary Burghs of BW maps. I was building Barracks, and had 10+ SCV's with 2 Depots when 6x zerg rushed in! I had 10-12 SCVs all try attacking the Zerglings while 1 SCV continued on Barracks hoping to spit a few Marines out. I destroyed all the Z'ings but 2 losing all but 1 SCV and the Barracks was done. Unfortunately, the first thing they went after was Depots, fighting off my SCV counter assualt... after they destroyed 2nd Depot, while I was buillding first few Marines I can afford, the 2x left Z'ings went for Barracks... it was on fire before the first marine came out... I Ended mission by that point. I knew the Zerg likely had more Z'ings on the way! No way i'd recovered in time. Your strategy sounded promising, but the difference of maps is likely what did me in. I did start building a 2nd Depot right away, I don't think that made a difference. So... if I could make suggestion... when posting videos about strategy... could you let us know at the beginning, or in description, what map you used? It makes a difference, I'm sure! The layout plays a big factor. OH.... btw... and this was me vs AI... not human!

I would start build a supply at 7th scv, then more scv -> barrack -> scv -> marine -> bunker....by the time zerglings rush, I have at least 3 marines in bunker

Works perfect! I took note of all the steps written in description with also the tips captioned in the video. I will try it in more maps of 1 vs 1 melee game, and the strategy works perfect from the Academy construction step :-)

Good strategy in general. Unless they pool rush with 6 lings, you should be strong (in that case an early barracks by the money would help). Hard to predict what will come your way though. I like to play for economy rather than expect the rush, better in the long run.

Im trying to figure out how to play this game and did an ai battle. I expanded right next to my base and for some reason the enemy kept sending 1 probe over there building nexuses over and over again no matter how many i killed. Then it started sending zealots over 1 at a time. I scouted the main base and found out they didnt even expand once, they just kept trying to expand where i was instead of picking a different spot. Dumbass ai.

Is it possible to rush earlier, with fewer marines and some medics (ensures the academy is built earlier too), to harass the zerg when he barely has anything? the zerg usually goes for his natural expansion, and can't really defend his main and this expand, point of this attack is to either hit the expansion if it isn't defended, or go through it and attack the main.... sry i am big noob x)

This is a good strategy, but it is only optimal if the zerg you are fighting waits to attack. What would be the best terran defense against a 4 pool rush? So far, I have yet to find anything online describing it.

Gather resources until you have 200 minerals then build spawning pool. After that hatch 6 zerglings then attack. Always hatch a zergling and don't stop attacking.
