Chris Metzen has explained that it was meant to be an honorific title; a blade is a weapon designed to rip enemies to pieces, making the title fitting for Kerrigan, who evolved to be the greatest agent of the Zerg Overmind

The kerrigan story is a unrelatable yawn compared to Wings of Liberty. Her character makes little sense. >inb4 she's warped alien don't care, doesn't excuse crap stories with unrelatable characters

Yeah I liked the campaign overall but I found it very difficult to understand Kerrigan's motivations. To the point where I was like 'well I guess she's even now!'
