Strange facts about mutalisks: Their blood is acidic. And their death animation in SC1 features the Muta exploding then melting in its own blood. Their assholes are their reproductive organs, which have been "zerged" when they were assimilated. Now they don't create new mutalisks, but a creature called "Glaive Wurm", you can see it in a second in muta's portrait animations in SC1.

Thats what I thought they were when I was younger the old sprites and animation make them look like shrimps then evolving into the crab-like guardians and the devourers look like a cross between a centipede and a armored shrimp ones childhood and lack of intense detail makes things look entirely different when we all were younger doesn't it?

They were just too scary when I saw them during the Desperate Alliance. Them, mixed with packs of Zerglings and Hydralisks always killed all of my units. BTW, I wonder why their screams are used for those Defiler's Mounds.

Because the Defiler Mounds were orginally for the mutualisks being accessed instead of the Spire and Greater Spire which were changed in development I'm suprised they didn't exchange the sound clip of the mounds and spires during development before finishing to finalize the game.
