4:00 Doesn't know Kara that well and spends most of the movie interacting with her, not trusting her - And yet Batman is still willing to risk death to save her. He even won a battle of will and wits with one of DC's most dangerous villains. This is why the Kevin Conroy version of Batman is the greatest Bat of all. He has more heart and courage than all other Bats put together.

I think most people misunderstand this scene and think its Batman that Darkseid respects. Its not. Darkseid said it himself. He admires the quality of how humans are willing to sacrifice lives to win battles. We might find the wholesale cost of throwing away lives to win a war repulsive enough to prevent us from fighting in similar wars, but Darkseid sees it as a positive trait. Batman just happened to show that trait to Darkseid at the right time to give Darkseid the warm fuzzies.

Why doesn't Darkseid just Omega Sanction the Hellspores? He knows where they are, in his own armory. Omega Sanction doesn't obey LoS.
