0:40 - 1:20 is such a brilliant example of reharmonization (the same melody repeating with different chords and harmonies around it each time)... That third repetition always gives me chills. The cold, alien-sounding fourth-interval harmony from the second repetition is taken away, and there's unexpectedly a totally different, warm, transcendent chord in the background because of what the choir is singing, so the complexity is reduced and increased at the same time in different ways, and the tone of the song abruptly (albeit briefly) changes from chilly and distant to warm and enveloping even though the melody is the exact same.

IIRC Protoss were a peace loving people despite the Zealots and such. They were an 'observer' race only shadowed over by the Xel-naga and I haven't played uh... the latest installment of sc3 with the protoss as the main because blizzards lore has gone to shit over the years. Its almost watching a car accident in slow motion.

lolaz wabby this might have been to balance things out and to prevent a lot of cheese in multiplayer. imagine what would happen if bronze players had reavers. or what you could do if you'd permanently could claim enemy units for yourself with dark archons. also the science vessel's armor buff would be pretty darn op on thor, bc, carrier, tempest and ultralisks. the defiler could even be used to troll allied zergs in 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 matches due to how the consume would work (target any zerg unit and consume it for energy). it would also be hard to play around the defiler's dark swarm (it gives immunity to ranged damage for all units in the cloud. and the arbiter is pretty much outclassed by the mothership. not all units where removed though, the lurker is even going to make a comeback in mp legacy of the void. (i realize this post is 7 months old, but i just think it had to be said)

My life for Aiur! Protoss were always my favorite race o Starcraft, even when they could be challenging to manage as a rookie. But their story was so magnificent that I wanted to show to an uncle who was very deep into UFOs and all that shit. Better I keep that for my own enjoyment.
