The finale - 3:30 is an obvious nod to Alien! And very nicely pulled off. What a soundtrack.

That's what I thought too. Alien was the first horror movie I was allowed to watch at the time when I was playing StarCraft as a kid. This similarity just clicked now. That sequence is so awesome despite it's simplicity, so nicely done indeed.
