Stardew Valley Speedruns | The Missing Bundle Glitchless in

1.4 dropped a little over a month ago and with it came a new hard bundle. I have very little expectation on how low we would be able to get this category with some of the needed Items. All I can say is that it took less time than I thought to hit sub 4 hours. It is by no means a perfect run but with the amount of RNG required for it it's he closest I will get without relying on the traveling cart. The major time lose was to summer fish primarily the tuna and some bad pathing. Over all I'm extremely happy with this run and will be taking a break from this category until sometime new is found.

@@TheScarletInfector i just mean it would be a whole load of rng because of the ones you need to get from the museum. you’d also have to gain access to the casino, which i’m pretty sure is only available after you complete the community centre.

@@seliland not true! you only need the bus unlock from joja (or community but, joja would very likely be faster) then after that you need to do a few things, like put the battery in the tunnel, battery can come from a lucky merchant item. so, as a whole I think all scarecrows would be maybe 6-8 hours to run. so a typical stream length for a full time streamer.

A diamond will not trigger the evaluation before the first one at the beginning of year 3, it only allows you to repeat the evaluation if you did not get to all 4 candles the first time. A 4 candles run would be probably 1 or 2 + hours of just sleeping through most of year two at the end, and nobody really wants to do that.

I mean, probably becuase of how heavily it relies on rng. Most people don't have patience for having to reset that much for reasons that have nothing to do with their own execution or routing. Haboo is clearly very patient to be able to handle that.

@@FluffyFractalshard in Diablo 2 you get to pick your skills and class which directly effects how well you can clear stuff, in this game it’s like if you got to the boss arena ( fishing or mines ) and then had to pick from random skills from random classes to see if you can get it to work ( finding all the neccesssries early )

you can get them only on the egg festival and they are the best early source of income. If you are aiming to get good money early, save up everything you can before the egg festival to buy as many strawberries as you can. You will be watering most of the time, but it pays off

OZagud In winter there’s an event in which you spot Krobus roaming outside. He admits to stealing a magnifying glass, which he gives to you in fear. The magnifying glass if what allows you to find the secret notes, a collection of quests and information

I guess that would be like Year 1 Community center+. I doubt you’d be able to complete it any sooner than Spring of year two though, thanks to the requirement of rain happening after the Community Center is finished. There’s no rain in Winter, and you’d have to get insane luck from the traveling cart to get the Winter exclusive items on top of the base luck, like red cabbage and animal drops. I think it’s theoretically possible to complete the missing bundle in fall or winter of year one, since it’s technically possible to complete the Community center in fall, but the luck makes it less of a test of skill and strategy, and more of an effort in frustration.

@richard mitchell Yeah I know. I’ve done the Year one Community Center myself. The problem with the missing bundle is that you have to complete the Community Center before Winter, which adds a ton more luck to get foraged items, fish, and the nautilus shell from the traveling cart. It turns what would be something like a 2/3 chance for one red cabbage to appear into a 1/100 scenario, where you need several luck based items to appear before the final rain in fall, on top of well optimized gameplay up to that point. I didn’t research the exact odds, but they are definitely slim. It’s definitely possible to complete the missing bundle Year one, but there’s no way it would become a popular challenge like the regular Community Center is due to the insane luck required. The soonest someone would practically do it would be Spring of Year two, Personally it took me till the 26th of Spring since I waited a while to age wine.
