@@hubguy As a Mother fan I thought Pluto was going to be another King Statue situation but was pleased when I could beat him. This area was definitely where I fell in love with the soundtrack. Tbh I think I fell in love with the game itself around the Spider Forest and finding an underground tunnel of Sprout Moles. I just got a lot of nostalgia of RPGs from my early days. I can't remember when I last felt a $20 so well spent.

I like to think that Omori pulls away from Aubrey not just because he's shy, but because he's an emotionless alias that Sunny hides behind. Omori can't feel love, because he is, by nature, an emotionally suppressive facet of Sunny. Though, maybe I'm overthinking this.

Sunny won't have to feel heartbreak again if he can't feel love in the first place. I see it as him being too scared to care about others again given what happened. You can't feel pain if you don't feel at all. A place to survive, but not to live.

Omori is the only game or piece of media ive seen where it having the “Everythings a dream” story didnt make me hate it, i hate that cliche so much, but omori did it well, though i do kinda wish there was a version where it wasnt about depression or something, idk

@@scrithen2836 Spoilers(?) I think the trope can be done well as long as the twist doesn’t remove the impact the story previously had. In this case, Omori’s story still matters because it’s what Sunny does every day, and ultimately he either has to overcome that will to keep things the same of let Omori take full control. That, and it lets the twist happen early on so the story can work off of it. Most ‘it was all a dream’ twists happen near the end and don’t have quite the same impact because it’s just..there. Omori’s well-crafted twists, even if they’re small, get all the character development they need because they’re done early on.

This song makes feel a lot at once, nostalgia, happiness and sadness. It feels like I'm reaching for the stars, for my purpose in life, but at the same time it's like I can never get there, because part of me knows it's too good, too happy, too perfect to be true. And so, it becomes a blur, of everything, like I'm trapped in a sickly happy dream. Considering the context of the game, this track encapsulates the feel of headspace for me.

I think it's incredibly clever that this song's leitmotif is the same as the mixtape's. They get you to listen to the remixed melody for like an hour so when the tape is finally popped into the radio, the song feels familiar, but you don't immediately recognize it. Really solidifies it as a pop song!

Just a fun fact: It is part of the sample of the Especial Mixtape, which the name is "I Want Nothing More" in which is ripped from one of the songs on the album titled “Bug Spray", which is composed by Jami Lynne, the same one that made "Stardust Diving" and "You were wrong" in Omori (and many others). My cat recently died... I remember when I was playing Omori and this song was playing while my cat was sleeping on my bed. It was one year and 6 months old, he got liver disease and it was very unexpected, I miss him a lot and now I remember him with this song, it has a vibe of innocence and tranquility that takes me to those moments that I shared with the cat.
