They were the main reason I watched gossip girl. I always found them to be hilarious together, even when they were scheming lol. Also their chemistry was off the charts. The “toxicity” stuff never bothered me because I think they were both flawed- Chuck’s issue is feeling unloveable, and Blair’s is her deep insecurities from her mother. They were both pretty aware of their mutual issues, and when one of them crossed a line, they would almost always stand up for themselves. Neither was a shrinking violet so I think it helped balance the scales, and in a way made them a perfect dynamic.

They are toxic when they are not together, in season 3 they were amazing they were not toxic at all when they were together, they supported eachother loved eachother, they grew a lot
